"... Ravenstar." The old priestess croaked.

He sighed in return, "Rest, mother."

She smiled with gratitude but shook her head weakly, "I am going to pass," She had to admit it even though her son would deny it, "But before I do, Moonclan wishes to tell you something."

His eyes stung and his throat burned just thinking about her passing but he choked out a calm response, "Tell me, mother."

"The white lotus will seek shelter in the tropical lands when its river runs dry," She explained, "Let the lotus grow and..." Her breath began to grow faint, "It will heal all it touches."

After a few moments the grey she-cat fell silent, and a few breaths later... She had no more breaths to give. He reached down, touching his muzzle to her face, letting his tears run like a waterfall onto her fur as he wept for his mother.

Ravenstar remembered her words in the back of his head, however it had been 21 moons since her passing. Surely the lotus must come soon.
