Diego POV:

Pulling up to the restaurant I glance at the clock again seeing that we have about 20 minutes before the bell rings.

As we get out of the car and start heading to the doors of the restaurant, I feel a hand pull me back. Looking down I see that it's Katrina, I shouldn't be surprised I already knew this was coming specially after that conversation in the car.

"Hey Z, can you go inside and get us a table, I have to talk to Diego real quick?" Katrina says smiling at Zipora.

Zipora looks at the both of us with a questioning look, "Uh okay." She says walking in front of us.

Once she's inside Katrina's smile is gone and is replaced with a frown.

"Really Diego" she says, irritation lacing her voice. "Since when do you offer people rides?" she says, crossing her arms.

Looking down at her I give her a blank stare, "Since when do you care why I do?" I ask.

She rolls her eyes "I don't, but I do care when it involves my friend and last time I checked you don't even like black people" she says using air quotations for the last part.

Katrina had me there, I've always talked bad about black people and never once showed interest in one so me offering her friend a ride is suspicious to her.

Stepping closer to her I raise up my finger "One, I don't answer to you I do what I want, two" I raise up my other finger "I've never said I didn't like black people I just don't like there ways, and three you should be happy I'm taking your friend home because Uncle has not caught the guy who is after us so wouldn't it be better for someone to take her home then her walking by herself?" I finished lowering my hand.

I looked down at Katrina and see she still has an unsure look on her face so I continue "You also don't know if the guy already knows who Zipora is-"

"There is no way he knows I've been careful about where I take her and papa has body guards around as well" she says, cutting me off.

I scoff "Katrina we both know that even with you being careful and having bodyguards it's not always a guarantee" I told her.

To be honest I know there were no slip ups. We have the best bodyguards that money can buy but the only way that she will drop this is if I tell her a little lie.

Her face begins to soften, "I guess you're right, it's not always a guarantee" she says lowering her arms.

Sighing she looks away and starts heading towards the entrance, I follow right behind her.

"You better not do anything to her Diego" is the last thing she says before walking inside.

I roll my eyes at her comment, she acts like I'm some wild animal.

I'm just taking her little friend home, nothing more nothing less, I think to myself before heading inside after Katrina.

Zipora's Pov:

Well this day just keeps getting better and better note the sarcasm.

I don't know why I agreed to let Diego drive me home. I know I could've put up more of a fight but that look he gave me sent shivers down my spine and I was not about to say anything after that.

It's one thing to have Katrina with me but since she won't be there it's just going to make things more uncomfortable.

I put my hand on my chest feeling my heart beat start to pick up, I think I'm going to be sick.
