Zipora Pov:

I'm so ready for this day to be over. I couldn't concentrate in my first three class periods because all I kept thinking about was the fear that was on Katrina's face when she was talking about Diego. I have so many questions.

Why did she look so scared?

What's so dangerous about a bunch of high school boys?

Why can't I get Diego's face out of my head?

Oh lord...this all too much for the first day of school. Thankfully it's lunch time and I can get my grub on. I swear lunch time is the only good thing at school especially when they are serving something good.

Walking into the cafeteria I see it's already packed with a bunch of kids.

"Just great," I mutter to myself.

Walking in I see that the lunch line is getting longer and longer, might as well get in line while there is still food left.

As I'm walking up to the line I stopped hearing someone calling my name, looking to my right I see Katrina waving at me from the far end of the cafeteria.

"Zipora, over here!", she says with a smile on her face, sitting at a table by herself.

I guess lunch can wait, I thought to myself. Walking over to her, I smile a little and sit down in front of her.

"Hey...Katrina, I didn't think I would see you so soon," I say to her while taking my backpack off trying to get comfortable.

"Yeah, I was hoping I ran into you again ... I know when we met it was on werid circumstances," she says with a little frown on her face.

I nod my head an agreement, not knowing what to say.

"So anyway-" she's about to say, until we hear loud laughing going on at the entrance of the cafeteria.

Turning around I see Diego and Louis walking in with a group of boys laughing about something that was on their phones.

Of course they would have this lunch, I thought to myself as I rolled my eyes going back to my conversation with Katrina.

"Idiotas molestos," Katrina mutters under her breath. "They are always so loud", she says shaking her head. "You wanna get out of here and get some lunch, my treat." she says with a smile on her face.

(translation: Annoying idiots)

Thinking about it for a few seconds, I agree not wanting to turn down free food, and wanting to get to know Katrina more. As we were leaving, we got stopped by  Louis.

"Sí, Katrina, ¿adónde vas con el negrito por ahí?," says Louis with a smirk on his face. (translation: Aye Katrina, where you going with darkie over there?)

"¡No la llames así Louis!" Katrina says, getting in his face, "No es asunto tuyo, así que muévete del camino." (translation: Don't call her that Louis; It's none of your business, so move out of the way.)

Louis starts approaching us with a scowl on his face, "Es mi negocio cuando tu andas por aquí con esta cosa." (translation: It is my business when your walking around here with this thing)

"Di una cosa mala más sobre ella y yo personalmente-", Katrina is about to say until she gets cut off by Diego who is sitting leaning back in his chair on his  phone not looking up, he really likes cutting people off.

(translation: Say one more bad thing about her and I'll personally)

"Cut it out you two, if Katrina wants to hang out with her little pequeño amigo" (little friend ) Diego says with a smirk, "Then let her, we have other things to attend to Louis".

Katrina smiles, " You heard him, you little lap dog, get out of the way," she says as she grabs my arm to lead me out of the double doors.

With a grunt Louis slowly moves out of the way and lets us pass, not before giving me a dirty look which I gladly return.

As we brush past him, I can't but help but turn around and look back at Diego, who is already looking at me with an unreadable expression on his face as we leave out the cafeteria doors.
