It Gets Stranger [Stranger Things x Reader]

"hey, steve." dustin says as we enter the family video store. steve and robin were standing behind the counter watching the news on their small tv.

"you guys see this?" steve asks.

"how many phones do you have?" i ask, ignoring him.

"someone was murdered." steve continues.

"how many phones do you have?" i repeat.

"uh, two. why?"

"technically three, if you count keith's in the back." robin adds.

"yeah, three works." max says, turning to dustin and i.

"what are you doing?" steve asks.

dustin takes his backpack off and tosses it over the counter.

"woah! what are you-" steve jumps back.

"my pile!" robin complains.

dustin ignore them, hopping over the counter  and knocking over a stack of tapes.

"no, no, no! my tapes! dude!" steve yells, throwing his hands up in the air.

dustin takes robin's seat and starts typing on their computer.

"what are you doing, man?" steve asks, walking over to dustin. max and i start to make our way around the counter.

"setting up base of operations here."

"base of operations?" robin asks.

i stand on the other side of dustin.

"stop. get off." steve says.

"no, i need it." dustin says, still typing on the computer.

"for what?"

"i'm looking up eddie's friends' phone numbers."

"oh, eddie." steve say, bitterly. "your new best friend you think is cooler because he plays your nerdy game?"

dustin rolls his eyes. "yes! ...i never said that!"

"seriously, you guys, maybe on a monday you can play around in here like toddlers, but it's saturday." robin says, cleaning up dustin's mess. "it's our busiest day."

"alright look robin, i totally empathize, but this cannot wait until monday." dustin says.

"oh my god." steve covers his face with his hands, extremely annoyed.

"what, cause calling all of eddie's friends is an emergency?"

"correct!" dustin yells.

steve walks up behind robin, helping her organize. "uh- do you want me to strangle him or do you wanna do it?"

"we could take turns." robin smiles at him.

"can you just fill them in while i do this?" dustin asks max.
