“Obviously..” Meghan mumbled, which sent me laughing again.

I really liked them and wondered why I hadn't been introduced to them before. After about ten minutes--which was like an hour to Uncle Sam--I got all five of my suitcases--and was ready to clear out. “So, are there any other kids involved? Other than this growing one?” I asked inside the car.

“Well, no. This is our first child,” Meghan informed me.

“Congrats. Girl or boy?” I questioned.

“Girl, we're naming her Opal,” Sam grinned.

Meg's face scrunched up, “I don't like it. We're naming the baby Ella and that's final.”

“But Ella is sooo... plain. Don't you want to spice it up?” he asked.

“No. Turn to the left, there's a McDonald's and I'm hungry.” she snapped back. I silently chuckled in the back, obviously I could see who wore the pants in this relationship

“When are you starting school?” Sam asked, turning the corner as commanded.

“Next week, dad explained that I stay with you for three days then for two days I move over to Abner Collie Prep,” I sighed.

“You don't sound happy, why'd you choose the school?” he asked. I was shocked, I would've thought my parents have told them the story and boast their punishment. Why hadn't they?

“I'm forced to go,” I mumbled. Thankfully though my words were in vain as Sam ordered meals for us all through the drive-thru.

I finally got the time to admire Maine's calm scenery. It was less busy than New Jersey, or maybe it was just the city I was in, there were a lot of single, bigger-than-average homes. From what I could see anyway. Sam reached back and handed me a McDonald bag which contained a hot, crispy chicken sandwich and large salty fries. I grinned and greedily dug into my bag. “Do I have a drink?” I mumbled, my mouth full of food.

I must admit, I was very impressed with Samuel and Meghan's house. Their house was gigantic, way too big for just two people, I mean honestly this thing was like a mansion! There was double doors as the main entrance. If it had a huge driveway it would have been complete. “Here we are,” Sam grinned, “All food out the car.” I quickly grabbed my bag and empty carton of juice, I double checked to make sure I didn't leave behind any crumbs, I hadn't.

Meghan led me inside and gave me a quick five minute tour. “Here's your temporary room,” she said smiling. The room was bright yellow color, which almost blinded me. There was a white canopy bed in the center, complete with a fragile white color. I was almost afraid to step into the room, afraid if I did I'd mess up the awesomeness of the room in front of me.

“Thank you,” I grinned, walking inside the room and setting two of my bags down, then running up and jumping on the bed. As Meghan walked out I couldn't help by pick up my cell phone and call Elaine.

“Alexandra! I've missed you...” she answered.

“You saw me five hours ago,” I said.

“And the hours inbetween have been hell! You're leaving me forever!”

“I'm coming on the holidays and summer... you're such a drama queen.”

I'm a drama queen?! You were the one crying hysterically and clutching your mother's leg to not go.”

“I was young and foolish.”

That was five hours ago.” she mocked.

Silence.

“When are you starting school?” she laughed.

“In three days. I gotta go,” I said when I heard Sam call me downstairs for a formal tour of Maine.

Like I said, this chapter wouldn't be eventful. Anyways, next chapter we're FF 3 days and going to the school :D Fact of the day: I watched WALL-E. New cover by Violetpaso
