You breathe in a handful of air, welcoming them into your lungs. Natalia is going to die by the end of this week, you thought, hardly thinking it through as if you didn't want it to slip from your mind, consciously torturing you every second and every minute of the day. God, did you blame her for what she did, she's an idiot, what was she thinking of attempting to kill someone, can't she just drop the confidence for one goddamn time that maybe it would spare her life, but no, here we are in a situation where she's facing her death! All that plan goes to waste when her life is in the line. She wasn't thinking and you were angry for it.

"Dammit!" You yelled while slightly pulling your hair like you were about to go crazy with everything that is happening.

Someone knocked on the door, startling you to death and without even thinking you were immediately holding a knife in your hand. You opened the door to be met by an unhappy Yelena, which was new since she is never unhappy. Her eyes darted to your hand, the one holding a knife.

"Drop it," she demanded, sounding pissed off. She pushed the door wide open using one hand as she let herself in. She stopped in the middle of the room and spun around to face you since you were still standing at the door, refusing to move a single muscle, but you did drop the knife as she said so.

"Tell me exactly hat you are not letting my sister die," she sternly stated, you opened your mouth but she raised her hand to stop you, "I'm not yet finished. I'm telling you now that I cannot lose my sister, you understand me? She's the only person that I have left, I just can't. I lost her once and I'm not taking any chances of losing her forever, she's my sestra and I love her so much more than anything in the world." By the time she was finished talking, you could see it in her eyes that she was scared, her face was in a deep frown and she was so close to crying but she didn't let the tears fall. Yelena is afraid to lose her sister, and it's in your hands to save her even though you have no idea how to but you have to try, you just have to.

"I can't promise you anything, Lena," you started off softly and she held her face straight. "But I can try, I will try -- because..." You hesitated to tell her so you stopped before you could even go any further, because deep down you also didn't know or you were just lying to yourself that you exactly know what it was that is pushing you to save her. "I can't lose her either," you fabricated a lie but it wasn't fully a lie, was it?

* * *

The end of the week came like a flash.

You haven't seen Natalia since the last time that you two talked, you haven't visited her for a while because every time that you see her was like a slap on the face telling you that you will lose this person, that she will die in the palm of your hands, that her blood will be scattered around you.

Natalia however has been expecting to see you this pass few days, hoping that maybe you'll come to your senses and talk to her like you used to do but you never appeared, she never heard your name whenever she asked a guard to know the people who visited her, she did asked the handmaidens but even them have nothing to say since they haven't seen you around.

Well, Kate knows where you were, she also introduced you to this guy named Clint and turns out you somehow recognized his voice you just can't pin point to how or where did you heard them, but one thought stands out and the only thing that you could think of a possibility that you met him was the day where you got kidnapped and taken to the mysterious part of the kingdom where you received a word about what Agatha's planning to do, and you were sure of it that he was the same guy who almost shot you with three arrows.

Back to the story.

"So we're just gonna stand here and watch her die?" Kate asked dumbfoundedly causing Yelena to glare at you while Clint slightly chuckled to himself.

"What's so funny about it?" Yelena asked with such a tone making Clint drop the smile and uncomfortably cleared his throat.

You on the other hand was just staring at Natalia who was painfully tied on a pole in the middle of the courtyard, still wearing the same clothes that she wore when you last saw her, her hair was pulled in a low bun with strands of hair scattered around making it look more messier, but even that you still find her breathtaking. A few moments later she finally met your eyes and your breath hitched, her green orbs boring into yours like ever before, making the corners of her lips tug into a small smile knowing all too well that she made your heart skip a beat with your head spinning around while the world stopped turning, and for a while Natalia thought that she could escape this, that she wont die this very day, that she'd live and spend the rest of her days with you, watching you grow old with her, that she'd have every fight with you, all the yelling, the crying, all the drama, she'd have it all with you by her side, yet she couldn't help but to imagine them now, she couldn't help but to think of them right now when she could've thought of those things when she had more time, back when her life is not at the verge of death. And then it clicked her, she couldn't left you, she could not possibly leave you behind just like the last time, and so as if God heard her prayers, the surroundings seemed to darken.

The executor was now standing next to Natalia, he's hand gripping firmly on the sword, raising it above his head, her eyes darted to his and before he could even swing the sword his eyes turned blue. It all happened so fast that by the time she looked around her, it was already covered in dark grey wisps and the only thing that she could see was a pair of dark blue eyes, looking directly at her as if she was prey.
