Finding You

It's time

Y/n POV

It's been 5 months since we found out, and Mom is ready to pop at any moment.

I can't wait to meet my new little sibling, and hold them, and help mom and dad care for them. It would also be a benefit for us, mom's been getting easily agitated alot recently from the pregnancy. She's been really emotional too, one time she cried because she dropped a Bueno chocolate on the floor... it wasn't even open. She was in full tears. I had to run away quickly so she couldn't hear me laugh.

"Hi mom" I said as I sat by her on the sofa and hugged up to her.

"Hi baby" she replied, placing an arm around my shoulders and stroking my hair.

I looked at the tv to see that she's watching trolls. "Hmm, trolls, good movie" I stated and I heard her chuckled.

I looked up to see colin laying on the other sofa, with Rose laying on him. They both look out of it.

"Are they asleep?" I asked. "Probably" mom replied before letting out a gasp.

I shot up and looked at her "What's wrong- are you okay- mom?" I said in a hurry.

"I- I think my water just broke". She said between breaths.

"What!?" I stated, a big smile forming on my face "that's great" I said chuffed. She smiled at me but then quickly changed her expression.

"What-" I was about to ask but got interrupted. "Con-trac-tion" she said between breaths as she squeezed the sofa cushion and held under her belly.

I quickly got up and rushed over to dad. I viciously shook him awake whilst yelling 'dad'. He woke up and his head shot up off the pillow as a concerned look grew on his face.

"What is it?" He asked seriously. "Mom's water just broke" I informed him and his eyes grew wide. He looked down at the sleeping Rose on his chest and wrapped his arms around her as he sat up. He lay her down on the sofa and stood up, making him way to mom.

"Okay, you stay here, I'll call the midwife" he said, running around like a mad man, trying to find his phone. "Got it" he cheered, lifting it up in the air to show us before pulling it down in front of his face then by his ear.

I brought my attention back to my mom whilst dad spoke on the phone.

"Are you okay?" I asked. She nodded in reply. "Yes honEY-" she said being cut of by another streak of pain. I grabbed her hand "squeeze my hand, see if it helps" I told her, trying to make her feel better.

"I don't think that's a good ide-" she said, getting cut off by another contraction. She squeezed my hand tightly and it started to hurt. "Ow" I mumbled as a way of dealing with the pain but not letting her know it hurt me.

"Am I going to stay here with Rose?" I questioned, and she nodded. "Yeah, colin will call grandma to come and watch you guys whilst we're at the hospital okay" she insisted and I nodded, saying it was okay.

I leaned I'm and gave her a tight hug "you got this mom!" She hugged me back "I love you baby" "I love you too momma" I mumbled into her shoulder.

"Okay, the midwife is setting yo the room at the hospital, granny's on her way, what do I need to get...." he informed us. "THE HOSPITAL BAGS" he yelled and ran to grab them from him bedroom. My mom and I watched as he ran, and both laughed at his nervousness.

"I can't believe in going to have a baby brother or sister" I squealed as I turned back to face mom.

"I know baby" she chuckled. "C'mere" she commanded and pulled me into another hug. I felt a tear of joy stream down my face.
