Blake rounded the corner with a bag in hand.
"Good you found her." I grinned then looked back down at the computer. I filtered all my emails into folders.
"Caught her right before her next client."
Hmm, it would be rather awkward to walk in on your girlfriend entertaining someone else.
"Generally we don't let visitors come while the girls are working'" I explained. "I don't know if the other girl who works here let you in before but it can't happen again." Big Steve should talk to Sandra about that. She can't let people in who will just distract the girls from doing their jobs.
"My mistake, sorry."
"You didn't know so it's fine." A simple solution to this problem would be for him to never show up here again.
Big Steve doesn't take well to nonpaying customers. And---I really can't chance him coming back here regularly if I hope to keep my identify a secret.
Blake didn't say another word and walked out of Teasers. A sudden weight on my shoulders lifted. One less surprise to come walking through those doors.
My cell buzzed and I clicked it open.
From Hayden:
Heard from my brother today? Can't reach him.
From Kahlia:
I saw him before work at the house. I haven't heard from him since.
From Hayden:
Shit. If you do tell him to call us.
From Kahlia:
Of course.
I went into panic mode, my heart beating rapidly in my chest. How could no one have heard from him? He has friends he hangs out with, surely he's with one of them. Wait---Hayden is friends with the people Derek hangs out with so he must have already asked.
From Kahlia:
Derek where are you?
From Kahlia:
Just tell me your okay.
I stiffened, waiting for a response. If I could just close up Teasers now I'd already be out the door.
From Kahlia:
Always on your phone and you can't make one stupid call? WTF

I knew I had some part in sending Derek off the rail. I told him I wanted nothing to do with him and as a result he's off getting into trouble.
