Chapter 31

When we got upstairs I saw three doors that were closed. Then I noticed something. That's weird my brother has been quiet...I actually haven't heard him talk!
I then asked mom,
"Where's my brother?"
Mom chuckled and said,
"If you didn't hear Asher talk I don't think you heard Quinn say that he was going to tell his friends that he has a little sister now!"
"Oh okay...you're right I didn't hear that!"
Dad then said,
"Well let's get back on track...we were going to show you what it looked like upstairs! Do you want to see where you will be saying or to see Quinn's bedroom first?"
"I thought I would be in Quinn's room!"
"Well we thought you were going to be a baby that couldn't talk and act like a normal baby! We knew we would have to take care of you if you woke up and started crying at night but now I guess we don't have to worry about that!"
I chuckled and said,
"That's true. I guess I want to see my brother's room first! I'm curious what it looks like!"
"Okay sounds good."
We went to the farthest door to my left and we went in. The first thing I saw was a bed with black sheets on the left side of the room right next to the window. I then noticed a bedside table with a book on top of it. There was also a dresser in the top left corner. I looked down and noticed that there was a brown fur rug that looked like it once belonged to a wolf in the middle of the room. There was a desk and a chair in the back middle of the room. I don't exactly like the wolf rug because my parents were werewolves but vampires don't exactly like them so I shouldn't be surprised. Everything is wooden but of course it is....if a fire ever reaches here we are totally screwed! They did say they would smell smoke before it would even get here but I'm still a little worried. I then saw something important missing in the room and I asked,
"Where's the candle? How do you even see here at night?!"
I saw them look confused for a second and then dad said,
"Ohhhh I guess you don't know everything about vampires you see we can see perfectly in the dark!"
"Oh ok...that makes sense then!"
Then mom looked concerned,
"Do you think you will be okay though? You aren't a vampire?! Will you even be able to see at night?"
Well I'm pretty sure I can...Flower said I have all the same traits that my new family has.
I then said,
"I have no idea but I have red eyes like a vampire and I can turn into a bat so I bet I can see in the dark!"
"That's true. Well one way to find out! It's getting dark soon!"
I looked out the window and saw the sun was almost setting and I said,
"It sure seems like it! I'm excited to find out if I can see in the dark later. Hopefully I can because then you might have to get a lantern or a candle and I don't want you to deal with that!"
Mom then said,
"That's true but even if that happens I bet Asher has one!"
I chuckled and said,
"Knowing how he's obsessed with anything to do with supernaturals I won't be surprised!"
Dad then said,
"Well since we are done looking at Quinn's room do you want to see our room?"
"Yes! That would be great. I'm excited to see where I'll be sleeping!"
We walked out of Asher's room and mom closed the door behind us. We then went next to the door next to Quinn's room. Dad opened the door and we went in. I looked around and saw a big bed with blue sheets in the middle back wall of the room. The window was on the right wall. There was also another table but it was a little bigger than Asher's and it was underneath the window. There are two people in the room after all. There were also two chairs underneath the desk which isn't at all surprising. I saw one bedside table on the right side of the bed and one on the left side of the bed. Next to the right side of the table was where my crib was. It looks pretty old...I bet my brother used it when he was a baby! Well I was unexpected and they weren't even ready to have another family member! It makes sense why they used an old one! The dresser was in the corner on the right side of the front of the room. Unlike my brothers room I noticed there were a few paintings of the whole family around the room. I could tell they were painted in different years because Asher looked older and older in them. I looked down and saw a black fur rug that looked like it came from a bear. I'm not at all surprised everything in here is also wooden! I then noticed another door that was on the left wall and I then asked,
"What's that door for?"
"Oh, that's the bathroom. You don't really need to see that."
"Oh okay. I'll probably see it when I need to go to the bathroom later!"
Mom then said,
"Should we go downstairs? I bet Quinn is coming back soon!"
"Sure but what's in the third room?"
"Oh...that room. Well it's a closet, it's where we put all of our clothes that need to be hung. You don't really need to see that room!"
"Oh okay. Let's go downstairs then! Thanks for showing me around!"
"You're welcome! You do need to know where everything is when you're going to live here!"
"That's true!"
We left the room and mom closed the door behind us. As we walked downstairs I heard the front door open and close. Well I guess my brother is home then!
