i almost consider this version a shame to my name, and my cowriters and i take the piss out of it pretty often
the new version has a revised plot, new characters, and better representation of lgbtq people (i mean, you'd assume a team of three gay people could write good gay characters but apparently 2020 us were all closeted and dumb)
also!! if you enjoy this story, we're planning a sequel (and even a prequel!). however we havent gotten to that point yet, so consider reading The Insurgents Collection (also on my profile) and Retroactive Revision (a work in progress, but it's kind of a semi-animated series :))
