It had been 30 minutes since they had left the office and both women were a bundle of nerves. While Carina looked calm sitting in the waiting room Maya could not stop walking around the room. She tried to be positive and she knew this was good for the kid but the thought about her having to relive everything made her worry.

Suddenly the door opened revealing a woman and a tired eight-year-old that stood next to her. Luna quickly made her way towards Maya who without hesitation picked her up and the kid immediately hid her face on the woman's neck, letting out a breath of relief. Carina stood beside them and noticed Lynn looking at them

"Why don't you take the bambina to the car" the brunette said to her wife who nodded and started to walk out of the place. Maya wanted to take the girl out of there as quick as possible "How is she?" the brunette asked once her wife and her kid were not longer in her sight, not being able to hold the question any longer

"Well, I can't tell you what she told me" she started explaining as she let out a sigh "What I can tell you is that I think you should make it a legal matter" she said giving the doctor a sad smile. Carina nodded knowing how bad it was "As a professional and as a person I can't hear everything she told me and just let it go but I think you are the ones that will know how to handle it" In cases like this it was hard to keep it professional, to not get involved.

"Thank you so much" the brunette said to which the therapist smiled "I'll see you next session?" she said thinking about what was the next right thing to do and how to approach the topic with Luna.

"See you then" she answered before going back to her office

In the car a silece filled the space while Maya caressed the girl's hair. Neither of them had tried to say anything, the blonde knew right know the best thing was to stay quiet. Luna needed her quiet time, she couldn't stop reliving everything that happened. It was the first time she actually talked about it and it was like a switch, now her mind just wouldn't shut off. The blonde noticed that, it wasn't hard to read the girl's body language... she was stressed and anxious

The ride home was quiet, Maya was able to get Luna to sleep in the back sit with the only condition that she had to stay with her. Carina and Maya didn't say much during the trip either, they both knew something was seriously messed up but they would talk about it later.

In the house, the brunette took the little girl to take a shower, trying to help her relax and forget a little bit about earlier but that just wasn't happening. The girl, opposite to how she coped with everything before, was extremly clingy... she didn't want to be alone.

"Can you stay?" the girl whispered once the brunette started walking to the room in search for some clothes. When she heard the girl's voice she immediately turned back

"I can stay" she answered smiling "I'll be here when you finish" she said making the girl nodd. The woman stood there out of the bathroom next to the door, waiting for the eight year old to come out. The door was not fully closed so she could hear the water running

Luna tried really hard to not think, to just keep her mind blank but it seem impossible. Flashes of her life would just appear everytime she closed her eyes. Now she remembers why she didn't talk before

The three of them had decided to put on a movie while they waited for Andy to drop Emma off. Carina was in the kitchen grabbing something to drink while Maya and Luna were in the sofa. The little girl had placed herself close to the woman placing her head on her chest but there was still something missing

"Mamma's sweatshirt?" the girl whispered making Carina almost choke on her water as she started to cough uncontrolably. The girl wanted to feel safe again and when she was scared that sweatshirt gave her the comfort she needed
