It was the middle of the night when Maya thought she heard something outside the room. At first she didn't think much of it, she was probably just too tired and her mind was playing with her but just as she was about to fall asleep again she heard it again. Two soft knocks on the door and she immediately knew it was Luna, she was the only one that knocked before entering.

"You can come in Luna" she said sitting on the bed as she noticed the door opening slowly revealing an eight year old that shyly picked from ehind the door "It's okay, come here" she said smiling, patting the spot in the middle of the bed

Luna slowly made her way towards the bed, climbing on it. As she made herself comfortable under the covers, the Italian woman who was still asleep until now, started to wake up

"Well, hi there" she said smiling sleepily at the little girl "Looks like we have a guest" she said towards Maya who smiled nodding

"We do" the blonde answered smiling but that quickly changed when she noticed the girl looked anxious. She was fidgeting with her hands, her gaze down and her breath was hitching "You okay?" she asked making her wife immediately sit up

"Nervous..." the little brunette simply said and both women instantly understand. Tomorrow was Luna's first therapy session. She never had therapy before but she did know what happened there. They would make her talk about her previous houses and she didn't like that, specially the thought of talking about the previous house

"It's okay to be nervous sometimes" Carina said softly starting to stroke the girl's hair "but everything will be okay" she said with a sympathetic look

"Why do I have to go?" Luna asked leaning on Maya's arm as she reached her hand up and grabbed one of Carina's strands of hair "I'm good here and I'm not scared anymore" she said trying to maybe convince them she didn't need it

"You know when sometimes you start feeling like everything is a bit too much?" Maya said earning a lazy nod "or when you get suddenly scared and you feel like you can't breath?" she said and Luna looked at her waiting for her to continue "Well, sometimes talking about what you feel or what makes you sad can help to stop that" Luna knew they were right but she couldn't help but to still look unsure "We wouldn't be doing a good job if we don't help you get rid of that feeling"

"What if I can't..." the little brunette said "What if I can't talk about it?" Luna hadn't talked about anything related to her last house in a long time, everytime someone has asked about it a lump would form in her throat making her impossible for her to say anything without crying

"Then we will come back here and wait until you are a little more comfortable to talk about it" Carina said

The day had finally come and today was Luna's first session with the therapist. The girl was not so happy about this. The thought of talking to a stranger about what was going on in her previous house made her anxious. The last time she braced herself to talk about the issue with someone, they sent a social worker to the house who explained the situation to the man. Let's just say that at the end of the day he wasn't happy.

The couple knew how nervous Luna got having to face these situations. She tries to avoid talking about past houses at all costs, she doesn't like it, it reminds her of things that she would rather forget. Maya and Carina have tried to get into the subject but have decided to respect the girl's decision to not speak, she would do it when she was comfortable

While they waited to be called, they both tried to distract her with other things but it seemed impossible.

"Luna Jones" a voice called for them making both women stood up. Luna looked at them and stood up as well with a sigh. She wished she could have stayed with Emma. Maya wanted to be there for the eight-year-old so Emma was having a little date with Andy "Hi, come over here" a woman said motioning for them to sit on the sofa of the room "I'm Lynn Soutas and I'll be your therapist" she introduced herself smiling
