I enter Ea's room- Helios bounded off already, and I almost feel bad for the rats now. My new guards are listening outside- their ears pressed against my wall.

The bed-sheets are still ruffled, my knees go weak. His CD is still in, I press play and A Bwardpuginin Girl starts.

"I have loved the Encantados dream," he had said earlier. I fall to the ground, a hand over my mouth as Aîskhos screams his lines.

He is still here though- he has not gone.

It was prank- Delta must've made it up. Ea would never die- I would never kill him.

He will be here soon, probably catching me listen to his CD and make me beg

For release... for love.

Not for death, like his dumb prank had.

I knock and come to the door- I smile. He is back.

I swing the door open, a smile plastered on my face, bit only humans wait for me.

My guards scowled and their faces all scrunched up against the scent of their blood.

One Tomairsitkiz even has his hand pressed to his temples.

I usher the girls in- one carrying a large basin, another with a tube of something and a letter.

They set it down, but before they could disperse I stopped one.

"Why are humans on these lands?" It wasn't a harsh question, just a simple inquiry. It is too dangerous here. No human would ever willingly set foot here.

"These Fae monsters," The older one of the two seethes, and the younger one hits her shoulder. She ignores it. "They paying' us almost double all ye' human salaries combined." She smiles, teeth crooked.

"Ye' wouldn't believe it," The younger one continues.

"But isn't it dangerous?" I ask them, worry etched into my voice.

The older lady stares at me for a moment- her eyebrows creased. "When ye can't fend for ye own husband, all thee extra pay is worth the fear. This gal here," She nods at her companion. "Has a child- This Faerie abandoned them- starving and without money- she works here to pay for the both of them."

The girl in question looks like she wants to run, but I grab a hold of one of Ea's more intricate daggers and hand it to her. The same dagger I used to steal.

"Here," I push it into their hands. "If you two split it, it should last for a while,"

They bow and mutter their thanks, But they still mull over my words- trying to find any tricks.

I tear open the letter when I hear the door slam shut behind them.

One word in an elegant scrawl is etched onto the parchment. "Enjoy".

"Thanks, Ea." I mutter absently to nobody as I sink into the tub- still fully clad, but still relishing the feel of the warm water against my frozen skin. I melt, and I begin peeling off my dress- which is a feat, I soon realise, that is nearly impossible and should be made into an Olympic sport. But finally, I managed to get the darn thing from around my neck- where it had earlier pooled.

Maybe Ea will find this an acceptable time to barge in here, I sure hope so.
