Phase 17

I can clearly remember when it all started.

Girls at my age are obsessed with Disney movies and how ideal prince charmings are. Halos mag-agawan sila noon kung kanino si Eric, Florian, Phillip, Henry and whatever names of those fucktard princes.

So the curious me tried to be in their shoes. I watched those movies, and I even read the book versions in our library to see what makes them lovable for kids like us. That was the very first time.

I was captivated by how hardworking Belle and Cinderella are. I admired how Ariel sacrificed her voice for the man she loves. I love how Snow White took care of the dwarves. I like their features and sexiness; even it's only an animation.

Papa asked me why I liked princesses than those princes.

I only said I hate how stupid they're actually. I'll never love a silly character. They should be the ultimate romantic male figures, but they aren't quite so charming. Disney princes were painted as the perfect man, but they turned out to be a bunch of very weird people.

They creep me out to the extent.

Is there anything creepier than an unknown 31-year-old necrophiliac slash pedophilia who wanders around the forest kisses a 14-year-old dead girl like Snow White? Even though Aurora is not dead, is it even romantic if a guy kissed you while you're unconscious? No, it's not.

It will never be.

I know it is all fiction, but many kids are too blinded by these kinds of fantasies that are disturbing in the first place. Because aside from being a creep, princes are villains too.

From having anger management issues, the Beast imprisoned Belle's father and then forced her to live with him instead. He dictates everything, and Belle needs to follow his rules.

And the most stupid one is a prince charming who can't remember the face of a girl he was dancing with all night. The glass slipper plan? Who approved that kind of method? That's worst.

Instead of recognizing his first love, he chose to waste his time to knock on all the doors in their neighborhood and check all women's sizes if they fit the shoe.

Anong nakakakilig sa katangahan na iyon? Paki-explain nga sa akin, please?

"Cheers to the one month of being single!

I coughed when he finally removed his arm around my neck. By the way, later is the grand opening. Alam kong magiging successful. Papa work hard for this.

"Sungit. Why don't you just get a girlfriend again? You're always smiling when you're in a relationship," sambit niya at tumayo sa gilid ko.

Is it been a month?
