Sofia

This trip was very well needed, and it's sad to have to leave today.

Let's just say I'm having trouble walking still.

I fold the last of my clothes into my suitcase and zip it up.

I feel relaxed. I wasn't worrying about anything this weekend, I just let Coal take care of me.

But it's back to reality now. I have to face my dad. I don't know how bad it's going to be, but I know it will be bad, I'm just hoping it won't effect me playing in the championship on Friday.

I wobble in pain as I trudge my suitcase down the stairs.

"Someone's in pain." Coal whispers from behind me, picking up my suitcase and carrying it out to the car.

Why does he have to be so sweet but so annoying at the same time?

I grunt as I slide into Noah's car.

"Do we have to go to school tomorrow?" Alyssa whines.

"Yeah, do we?" I whine with her.

Noah and Coal look at each other before rolling their eyes, "Yes and no."

"Huh?" I ask confused.

"You don't HAVE too," Noah emphasizes the 'have'.

"But you need too." Coal adds on.

I groan, leaning my head against Coal's shoulder.

This is going to be an eventful car ride.

**

"How much longer do I have to sit in this damn car?" Coal grunts.

"One more hour," Alyssa responds, rubbing her forehead.

My stomach erupts with a growl, making everyone turn towards me, "I'm hungry?!"

"Then we'll eat." Coal shrugs.

"Um no, we'll be stuck in traffic if we don't keep going now!" Noah exclaims.

"I don't care. She's hungry, and I bet you guys are too, so were eating." Coal demands.

Noah furrows his eyebrows, "Did you put a spell on him or something?"

He looks at me questionably, but seriously.

I can't help but laugh, and so does Alyssa.

"No, I'm just special." I tease. Coal rolls his eyes, but I can tell he's holding back a smile.

We all agreed to eat at McDonalds since it was the closest thing.

"Sofia why have you been walking so weird this weekend?" Alyssa asks as I sit down with my food.

Coal chokes on the water he just took put into his mouth.

Alyssa looks at Coal weirdly while I shoot him a glare.

"Have I? I didn't notice." I lie.

Coal just smirks against the straw of his drink.

Fuck you Coal Demartino.

Oh, I already did-

It takes us an extra hour to get back because of traffic, but I didn't mind. It was already 11 pm so I knew we were all tired.

I would do anything to prevent going back to that house.

Unfortunately the time came, and we pulled in my driveway.
