Chapter 17

Fuyuka^
A week later-

Fuyuka looks at her president as she sits in the hospital bed taking in her medicine. She had just woken up that morning.

Maria cringes at the bitter taste as she looks to Fuyuka and smiles awkwardly at her.

"You don't have to pay for it." Maria said as she was referring to the hospital bills.

If she wanted her throat to be fully healed, it would cost 35 million yen. But without treatment, she can still live, but just with a hoarse and soft voice.

She drinks her bland porridge as Fuyuka's hands shook.

She was pissed that this happened to her president and that she let her president escape from her house that day.

Aoda was still in school training Kendo.

If she had really loved Maria, she would have taken her away from the dangerous biker gangs.

The door to Maria's room opened as she sees her President's boyfriend and siblings enter.

"I shall take my leave then." Fuyuka said as she bowed and left immediately before Maria could stop her.

"You're awake sis/Maria!" Emma and Mikey both said at the same time as Baji looks at the rich girl walk down the hallway.

That girl did not give him the good vibes.

However he just shrugs it off as he as he looks at the siblings interact.

Maria hugs her siblings as she kicks Mikey by the stomach away, teasing him as Mikey laughs at her.

Baji signs, he still had three weeks before telling Maria of a not so good news.

"You ok?" Maria whispered to him as Emma and Mikey look at him.

"I'm fine." He said grinning as Mikey points out how dumb he looks with glasses on.

"Sh-Shut up!" Baji says with a blush as Maria smiles at him.

"Mikey, don't tease Edward too much." Maria says as Baji realizes that he was his old nickname.

Emma and Mikey had small talks with her as Baji just observed them as he took a black furry thing out of a pet bag.

"Kuro!" Maria squeals as the cat was weary of it's surroundings but saw it's mother figure as it leapt into her hands from Baji's and purred loudly as she hugs it like her child.

"Edward here is getting better at his studies." Mikey teased as Baji took off his glasses and hairband.

"A better view for you now?" He asked Maria as she sheepishly looks away. Emma pulls Mikey away to give the two time as Maria's hands wrapped around him tightly as Kuro lay by the side watching them.

"I'm glad you're not dead." Her voice trembled as Baji closes his eyes and heaved a sign of relief as he hugs her smaller figure to his body.

"You too. Maria." He said as he breathed in her scent as she pulled back and dragged him in for a kiss as his eyes widened for a second.

She was never the one taking initiative in their kisses.

She was bold today as she pulled back breathing a bit heavily with a blush as she backs away from him a bit.

"Sorry. Did I scare you?"

"No.. just surprised." Baji said as he holds one of her hands and caresses it.

They look back at Kuro who was staring at them with wide yellow eyes.

"Well that was weird." Baji comments.
