Chapter 33: A Promise

In the Hokage's office, Naruto sits on his chair, his arms on the desk. He held up his head, looking at the three kids, one of them who is unaware of. He notices how his own son is passing draggers through his eyes alone, while Mitsuki is only staying silently seated beside him.

Across them was the boy they didn't know and had never seen before. From what information he got, his name is Kelin. Though the village he came from is still unknown, they do know they came with Inari's group.

Naruto coughed, grabbing most of their attention. "It seems the fight between you guys didn't seem to be resolved. I would like to ask Kelin his whereabouts and so is his.. Friend with him."

Boruto stood up, slamming both his hands on the desk in front of his father, "Really?! Why am I even here then! It'd be best if I leave now while you deal with him, "Pointing at Kelin, "So I can check on our teammate's well being Ok, Old man!" He shouted, as usual to his father.

"Boruto, sit down." Naruto's commanding voice boomed, making Boruto pout and did what he was told.

Kelin sighed, "Where I came from isn't important information to say. Sachi and I came here with the intention of.." Kelin thought of a way to get out of this and think of an excuse, but he already scattered options before he was questioned.

He could say that they just needed a place to rest and was somehow dragged along by a group of villagers that led them to Konoha, but predicting that Sachi may be up right now with a different story would cause some suspicions.

Since Sachi has met both his parents in a shocking outcome, he might mention half the truth of the story to lure them to a trap to fully get their attention. Their mission was to see Sachi's parents anyway so this act can lead them to taking their chakra.

Noticing how his sentence has been cut off for too long, he finally decided what to say. "I came here with Sachi because he wanted to see... them."

His eyes looked at the current Hokage as if hinting them that this matter is between the Uchiha family and them alone. Talking about this hidden truth with two boys and some shinobis in the room may seem inappropriate to blurt out personal situations.

"See who?" Boruto asked, curious as to who these 'them' are as it may have some connection to Sarada.

"I'm not the right person to be telling anything about it. Is there something else I'm needed here for?" Kelin asked, he wanted to leave as soon as possible to see Sachi.

His original plan was to go with the Elite Group they were with, but he was dragged with the Hokage so if he leaves in this office now, and goes to the Group, it's no doubt he'll be followed and that would reveal their intentions.

"Yes." Naruto said, "I still have some questions. Were there really no other reasons you can say for attacking Boruto and Mitsuki..?"

"No." Kelin said firmly, "Again, he just reminded me of someone I've been longing to.. See you after all this time." He looks at Boruto's angered expression, "It seems I was wrong." He said but the lace of his words sounded mischievous.

Naruto, who remained suspicious, didn't reveal that. Instead he beamed, "Haha! I see, well if that's the case, I don't see why you wouldn't."

"Oi, Old Man! You can't be laughing in a situation like this. This kid attacked me with the intent to take something from me and that's all you're going to give."

"Yet you tolerated it with no way of stopping it." Naruto scratched his head, "I never said I was finished with him, y'know. Seeing as the three of you acted upon misunderstandings but settled it within the village where many people could have been affected, you all are at fault."
