CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR

ALEXENDRIS been staring at the phone for a minute now. He  had a call few moments ago that arised his temper again. It's very visible in his face. He looked up when his door opens.

"Ang laki ng bahay mo tapos nandito ka lang? Baka gusto mong lumabas." It's Celestine

"You see that I am obviously working."

"Halata. Apat na kunot sa noo mo e." kumakamot sa babang  pahayag ni Celestine

Pinagmasdan nyang lumapit sa kanya ang dalaga. Palinga-linga pa sa paligid. He tapped his finger in his desk. Getting amuse watching her.

"Why you here? You miss me?"

Tumingin kaagad sa kanya si Celestine. He frowned when she sits in his desk.

"Get out—"

"Wag mo kong pinapaalis. Baka iwan talaga kita dito." masungit na saad nito

Alexendris automatically shut. He's expecting a mad woman trying to break away from his home not a calm Celestine. It's better to shut up. Yeah, it is.

Celestine tapped his forehead, then she slowly caressed down the frown off it.

"Bakit ba lagi ka na lang nakabusangot? Ngumiti ka naman. Parang masama pa loob mo na nandito ako."

He catches her hand. Locking it with his. Nakasimangot nyang tinignan ang kaharap.

"Stop manipulating me. I know what you're trying to do."

"Talaga?" taas-kilay na tanong

"Dadalhin ba kita dito kung ayokong kasama ka? Stop playing words with me woman. Baka hindi kana makaalis dito." banta nya

Nag-iwas ng tingin si Celestine.

"Di naman ako tatanggi.." Bulong nito na rinig nya

Alexendris smirked. Tumayo siya at itinukod ang kamay sa lamesa.

"Look who's obssess with my presence. Bakit hindi ikaw ang umamin? You wanted me more than I wanted you."

Humagalpak ng tawa si Celestine. Nabura ang ngisi sa labi niya. Celestine tapped his shoulder.

"Tignan mo nga naman. Nandito pala sa harap ko yung pinuntahan ako sa office kasi namiss ako tapos nagselos kay Stephen tapos ayaw ako pasundo kay Van—"

"Stop!" He hissed in annoyance

Celestine cupped his face. She mimicked a face like she was a baby she's consoling. He didn't slap her hands though. It felt good to be this close with her.

"Aw. Nagagalit na naman ang baby ko. Gutom kana ba?" She said mimicking a mother's voice

"Yeah. I'm hungry."

Hinila siya ng dalaga at hinimas ang likod niya. He wrapped his arm around her.

"Edi magluto ka. Ang dami mong pera. Ako paglulutuin mo." she snapped

Tinulak siya ng dalaga pero nanatili ang mga braso niya sa bewang nito.

"Hindi ako marunong magluto."

"Edi tuturuan kita. Basic!"

"What's the purpose? You're here anyway. You'll cook food and I'll be very much happy to eat."
