~Your POV~

A week passed by like the erosion of rocks. No matter how hard you tried, you could never get your mind away from him. His chiseled jaw and cheeks along with his long face and broad shoulders along with the soft touch of his fingers brushing against your hand seemed so vivid in your mind. During your free time, you would draw out his face, hoping that you would still know his face when you forget his voice. One night, You were in the library reading a nonfiction book when your mother came in with a bright smile. General Kirk was beside her wearing a signature smirk.

"Come with me, I have something to show you." She said softly but still full of excitement. You got up and placed my book down and began following the two.

"What is it?" You asked curiously.

"You'll see, princess," Kirk replied. They led you out to the edges of the courtyard to find three people- Spock, Queen Amanda, and Ms. Rand. You gasped and tears instantly began to fill your eyes.

"Spock?" You whispered out in disbelief as you stepped closer. The tall stoic prince also stepped forward and nodded.

"It's me, princess. Though I do not understand why you doubted that, from what I understand, you know a limited number of people." He joked slightly. You couldn't help but wrap yourself around him and embrace him in a hug. You never wanted to leave him again, never wanting him to disappear.

"(Y/N), may I ask what you are doing?" He questioned awkwardly. You let go of him laughing as tears rolled down your cheeks.

"I'm sorry, it's just- I thought I would never see you again! I missed you so much and here you are! I just couldn't help but hug you." You laughed. You felt him wrap himself around you in return, and it felt warm and like there was nothing else that mattered anymore. It was the first time in a long while that you felt no nervousness, doubts, or insecurities plague your mind.

"Do you enjoy this?" He whispered to you with a slight nervousness in his voice. You nodded and you felt him hum in relief.

"It's so strange. I've never felt so peaceful before." You muttered into him.

"Alright, you two lovebirds need to stop. You're even worse than me and Janice." Kirk joked making both you and Spock split apart and your face grow hot with an embarrassed blush.

"We are not birds, Jim." Spock corrected, making both you and Kirk laugh.

"It's a metaphor, Spock. I thought you'd pick up on them by now with our lovely princess here being a huge bookworm. That's another metaphor, by the way." He teased further, Ms. Rand simply giggled beside him. "But on a serious note, we really should be heading our own ways. Having both the Queen and Princess away from the castle for too long can raise suspicion."

"I don't know if I can last any longer without you." You confessed. "I've never felt such emotions- it's almost too much! I don't want to lose you again."

"You know Princess, they say the best blaze burns brightest when circumstances are at their worst. I will see you again, I can promise you that, we just have to keep going." He promised as he placed a hand on your cheek. "Do you mind if I do something?" He asked, you shook your head and he carefully placed a finger on your temple, his thumb along your jawline, and arranged the rest along your face with care. You felt his consciousness and emotions brush intertwine with your own. It was warm and peaceful, like you two were alone in nature as a summer breeze kept you cool. Suddenly you could hear his voice within your mind. I've never loved someone as much as I've loved you, you've made me feel things no other Vulcans have felt.

I love you too, you've made me feel safe in a world that tries its best to make that feel impossible.

He broke away and you could see a green tint on his cheeks and ears. "I will see you another night, princess. Till then." He gave a Vulcan salute.

"Till then, my prince."
