(Serpent POV)

Serpent, flew forward, looking straight, something in his mind was taunting him, ordering him to go and get the scroll, he looked at Amber, sighing he stopped flying and turned around,
Diving onto the almost lava consumed land the scroll had landed in, he quickly grabbed the scroll, and flew back up, he looked around, trying to find Amber again, he flew forward, at top speed, flying as fast as he could trying to find the exit.

He screamed, as trickles of lava hit his face, he barreled down into a rock, and hit the small island of ashes under it.

"Will he live?" Serpent heard a voice,
"Yes, but we're not sure how severe his wounds are."

Serpent groaned, both of the voices stopped, Serpents tail flicked, feeling eyes on him.

"He's awake." Another voice said, thrilled, he felt a dragon wrap there arms around his waist.

"Serpent, oh thank the moons." Serpent grinned, recognizing, the voice, he opened one of his eyes, seeing Amber,
"Hi." He smiled, flinching from the pain,

"We'll leave you two, to it." A another voice said, Serpent soon realized it was Leopard.

As soon as the dragons left the room, Amber turned to Serpent,

"What we're you thinking?" She yellled,

"Oh, yelling? So soon." Serpent smirked, Amber smiled at him,

"I see the lava didn't take your charm." She laughed,

"What? What did it take?!" Serpent asked, Amber stopped laughing, and looked at him nervously,

"It's better to show you." Amber said, well leaving the room, and coming back with a mirror, she put it infront of Serpent, Serpent looked at his scars on the right side of his face,

"I-I look awful." Serpent sighed,

"No you don't! You look amazing." Amber reassured him.

Serpent frowned,
"You still love me right?" Serpent asked, Amber looked at him with sad eyes,
"Oh Serpent, I love you so much it hurts." Amber smiled, Serpent took her hand, no matter how much it hurt to move, he wanted to hold it, Amber squeezed his hand,
"Now, promise me, you'll never do that agian, catushead." Serpent laughed,
"I promise." He smiled,

"Good, I need you alive." Amber grinned, Serpent smirked,

"Why? Because you like me." He smiled, Amber blushed,

"Maybe...." She giggled,
"It's getting dark, I'd better go-" She started, Serpent squeezed her hand,

"Please don't go, I don't want to be alone!" Serpent pleaded, Amber sighed,

"Fine." She said, well sitting down, she started, to play with her tail, Serpent loosened his grip on her, and eventually, fell into the deep darkness of sleep.

(Sparrow POV)

Sparrow yanked the enchanted scroll out of Serpents hand, as Amber and Leopard carried him off of the island they had found him on, he unrivaled it, seeing the location of the Eternal Flame...finally, he jumped as lava almost hit him,
"Right, lava dangerous, make mental note." His mind sat on the location of the map, this whole in tire time, it was right under his talons, he could have guessed the location easily, but he needed the scroll to prove his theory, the Icewings were right, the skywing's had taken the torch, the location of the sky kingdom.
He shivered at the thought, his eyes imagined the soul trapped in the torch, could he free that dragon, no probably not, stop asking stupid questions, he didn't have time for this, Amber needed her fire scales, she needed to get back at Camelon, he would surly doom them all.

Sparrow had lost so much sleep to that dragon, he could almost kill him, and that was saying something, really something, Sparrow pressed his forehead with two talons, were these really the thoughts of him, or a sleep deprived version of him self, didn't matter, as long as he held the map, within his grabs he was fine, Amber was going to be fine, the skywing's were going to be fine.

But, what about Spark, he had totally forgotten about the cute...I mean annoying princess, had she figured him out,

"Of course she has, I've doomed us all." Sparrow thought, sweating, he couldn't tell if it was from the heat, or just from his panic attack.

This is awful too awful. He wanted to scream, rip this map apart, but he couldn't, what if this was Amber's only hope, he couldn't live with himself if he did it, would the skywing's really give us, the enchanted torch, or would Ruby just punish him for asking,

"No Queen Ruby, is not that kind of Queen." He yelled at himself, why was he thinking these awful thoughts? Was it the scroll, was it enchanted to bless any dragon holding it with awful thoughts,
He didn't know, but he didn't dare drop it,
"Sparrow?" Redwood yelled, Sparrow snapped out of his thoughts, he had barley noticed he wasn't in the volcano anymore,
"Yes? What." He asked, Redwood looked at him annoyed,
"I said, is the scroll safe?" Redwood asked, Sparrow looked down in his talons, he was holding the scroll,

"Yes. It's right here." Sparrow hissed, he stopped himself from saying anything more, he never acted like this, was his theory correct,
"Is this map cursed, just like the torch?" He asked himself, he could only hope, he was wrong.

(Serpent POV)

Serpents wings hurt so much, he was in so much pain, but had to keep flying, he turned to Amber,
"How long till we find this thing?" He asked, Amber shrugged turning to look at Sparrow, he looked up from the Eternal Flame's map,

"Like a week." Sparrow yelled.

"Oh great." He said with a huff of smoke, Amber rolled her eyes,

"We've waited longer." She said,

Leopard joined in,
"For what?" She asked, Amber looked at her.

"For, ummm, school to be over, yeah." She said, Redwood sighed,

"Not this conversation agian." He growled,

"Right, enough of this, I'm serious." Serpent spat, Amber looked at him,

"Well if your that serious, Sparrow where's our destination?" She asked,

"Skywing kingdom." He answered, Serpent sighed,

"Well...evil cursed torch, let's do this."

Hehe, another cliffhanger, you guys love these, so, ummm, one chapter away from 40, about time if you ask me, I'm ready to take a break, but I do need to write 20 more chapters before I can, plus the Epilogue, oh who am I kidding I'll probably never end the series, three moons.
