Chapter 34: Back On Top

Eren POV:

Levi: "You've got 3 days, you're fighting Morgan Andrews. He's 25-1-0 with 11 knickouts. You'll finish him"

3 days later:

This looks like a pretty small event

It's been 11 months since my last fight so I've lost quite a bit of hype

My social media pages have lost quite a few followers

My Instagram went from 4,550 to 4,230

My Facebook went from 5,600 to 5,350

And my twitter went from 2,975 to 1,897

My core fan base has remained, the Jaegerists and my family

Apart from those 25ish people, there only seems to be another 15 here

A very small event

I don't get a walk out song as there's not enough hype

I walk to the ring and step into the ring

The ropes being literally rope, like actual rope

The corners don't have nicely coloured, smooth padding, instead they have yellow, stained and crusty pillow duct taped to the poles

My opponent walks out and comes into the ring

The ref calls us to the middle, pretends to say things but just mouths them and sends us to our corners

Instead of a bell, a man on the side bangs a spoon onto a plate to signal the start of the bout

My opponent comes towards me and flicks out a jab

I dodge it

He then throws a hook

I duck under

I throw the Warhammer shot

BOOM.

He hits the deck

Ref: "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10"

I knocked him out in one punch?

This guy has only lost once before

Straight after that, I went back to the changing room

Levi: "What the Hell? That guy is a year older than you. He's competing in the Wall Maria championships this year and you knocked him out in one punch! 10 seconds!" (he sounded surprised, I have never seen him like this)

Eren: "They aren't fucking ready for me"

Day of the championship:

I walk into the arena to see the crowd already here

The place is huge and there's no ceiling

The rings have golden ropes and the rest of the room is coloured gold, black and white

This is Trost Boxing Stadium

It's huge

A 10,000 person crowd

No one knows I'm here yet as they don't display the names, instead they call them out at the start

Announcer: "Ladies and Gentlemen, today we have 16 men competing for the U14- U17s Southern Super Lightweight Title for 2012".

Announcer: "We would like to introduce, last years finalist, only losing by split decision in the final last year. Dexter 'Tyrannosaurus' Rex!"

Cheers boom around the stadium, people applauding and blowing horns
