Saturday morning. I woke up for a particular reason my phone vibrated. I search for it on the near table beside my bed using my hand as my eyes still close. My head was throbbing a little bit unlike last night it was severe. Nanghihina ang mga mata ko na tumingin sa phone. Medyo nahihilo pa rin ako. I received a text message.
From: Scott
Good morning, baby :)
I was taken aback. Kaagad akong napabangon mula sa pagkakahiga. Kinusot ko pa ang aking mga mata. Muling binasa ko kung kanino galing ang mensahe. Kung totoo ba ang na sa mensahe. Kung tama ba ang pagkakabasa ko roon. Tama nga! My phone vibrated again for the second time. Suddenly, my thin lips grew into a sweet smile. I bit my bottom lip while smiling. Like an idiot!
From: Scott
Get up from the bed. No wonder, hangover.
I immediately went back to lay down on a bed and buried my face in the pillow, smiling. Why does it smell like Scott? I could sense his scent even though he wasn't here beside me? I could hear my racing heartbeats. It was so loud. Damn! Ano itong nararamdaman ko? It was just a simple text message coming from him!

Nagtipa ako ng simpleng sagot. On purpose to hide my emotions. This strong emotion that I can't explain. Something uneasy? Seems excited, overwhelmed? Happy? I don't even know. Ayoko naman na ipahalata na nayanig niya ang buo kong katawan sa simpleng mensahe niya.

Linapag ko ang phone at kaagad na bumangon. I went to the washroom to soak my face and brush my teeth before going outside. I saw Sweet in the kitchen, cooking breakfast. She was wearing her pink apron.
"Good morning!" maligaya kong bati sa kanya. I sniffed. I could smell the delicious breakfast she was cooking. Nakakatakam. Nakakagutom.
"Morning. It seems you had a good morning, because..." she turned on me while holding the ladle.
I nodded quickly. "Uhm..."
"Because Scott carried you last night and put you in your bed,"
"G-ginawa niya 'yon?!" nanlaki ang mga mata ko at halata sa akin na bahagya akong nagulat.
"Duh! You were drunk kaya, ang landi mo pa!" Sweet rolled her eyes and turned her back on cooking.
Kaya pala naaamoy ko ang bango niya dahil siya ang nagbuhat sa akin. Naiwan ang bango niya sa kama ko. Hindi na ako umimik pa hanggang sa natapos si Sweet magluto. I was overthinking about sa sinabi ni Sweet na ang landi ko raw? Paano? Hindi ko nga matandaan kung anong ginawa ko last night. Parang wala naman akong ginawa. Taimik na nga lang ako kagabi. I didn't do something flirtatious manners!
I snapped out when Sweet called my name. I watched her sit in front of me before did I. Kumuha ako ng garlic rice ng kaunti at naglagay ako ng tig-isang ulam—sunny side up, hotdog at bacon sa plato ko. I could sense Sweet glaring at me.
