"so..." the two started at the same time, eyes darting everywhere around the room apart from each other. 

"you start." jisung sighed, playing with his fingers in an attempt to curb his fleeting anxiety.

"alright," minho nodded, finally dragging his eyes across the younger's face. "i'm sorry." 

"i didn't mean to kiss her, i was drunk. i didn't even mean to get that drunk." the words were quiet, a confession which had been waiting for so long to see the light of day reduced to merely a whisper. 

"so why did you?" the feeling of betrayal was evident in his tone, mixing uncomfortably with the hurt dripping from every word. 

minho thought about his next words carefully, "i was sad and hurting, i thought it would make me forget about everything- forget about you." 

that did it, the tears found themselves in the corner of jisung's eyes. he didn't reply, fear of becoming an emotional wreck rendering him silent. 

"i'm really sorry jisung." the elder only bit his lip, taking a deep breath. 

"you don't need to be, you did nothing wrong." he finally spoke again, his stare burning holes in the floor. 

"i kissed her." 

"and?" his reply was instant, not giving minho another chance to speak. "we weren't, aren't a couple. it doesn't matter." 

minho nodded, he knew jisung was right even if it felt like he wasn't. 

"did.." he started after a moment, directing his glossy eyes to meet jisung's. "did you mean what you said that night?" 

jisung couldn't help but let the tears drip down his puffy cheeks, bringing his hoodie sleeve up quickly to wipe them. "what if i didn't? would that have changed anything?" 

"lets face it minho," he spoke again, watching the elder closely. "you could do so much better. i'm a sugar baby, aren't i? that's all i am, why would i mean any more to you than that." 

hearing jisung, the person who he'd spent the past while crying over and wanting nothing more than for him to just speak to him again, break down like this in front of him was harrowing. he felt his heart ache in his chest as he had to stop himself from pulling his baby boy into his arms. 

"oh ji," he breathed out, tone full of sympathy as the boy sat across from him couldn't hold back his tears. "you really think that?" 

"i don't know what to think anymore minho, i'm scared if i tell you how i feel that you won't even want me as a baby anymore. i don't think i could handle not being around you, not even for a day." he snivelled. 

minho held out a shaking hand and placed it on jisung's cheek, wiping his teas with a sad smile. "me neither, god, i could hardly handle these past few days. i promise that no matter what happens you'll have me here okay? please talk to me."

jisung visibly hesitated, sliding his hand between minho's and his cheek, intertwining their fingers and pulling them down onto the bed. 

"where do i even start?" he laughed anxiously, "i didn't mean what i said that night, not all of it anyway. it's true, no matter what we are to each other you don't get to control my life."

minho nodded, letting jisung continue, "i don't want to find a boyfriend. god i couldn't even look at anyone else if they aren't five foot seven and a half with an annoyingly perfectly smile and stupid pretty face." 

"does that mean you can look at chan?" minho joked, earning a slap on the arm. 

"shut up, i said annoyingly perfectly smile and stupidly pretty face. not a whole damn wholesome snack of a man. know your place, love." the elder couldn't help but break into a sweet smile, jisung was insulting him which meant they were on good terms again. 

"love? that was quick, if i knew you were gonna confess this quickly i would've kissed someone else sooner." jisung hid his face in his free hand, blood rushing to his cheeks as minho laughed. 

"i haven't gotten to that part yet!" he huffed, "lee minho, would you wanna go on a date sometime? i'll pay." 

"no you won't." minho scoffed. 

"no, you're right, i won't. why would i want a sugar daddy if he can't treat me to cheesecake?"
