What is your name?

Claudia. 

How old are you?

What inspired you to write your first book?

Well my first book that I actually wrote was a vampire story. At this point in time I was obsessed with the whole vampire theme so I decided to try and write one of my one. When I read back on it now, it seems really cheesy and my writing is very poor but maybe some day I could fix it up and maybe post it on here. 

Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?

I don't really have a favorite author, but I have a couple of authors who's books I really enjoy. First would be Simone Elkeles who wrote the Perfect Chemistry series. They are amazing. Also lately I've been reading a series written by Julie Quinn called the Brigderton Series. I simply love these books because of the romance in every one of them. Plus I love books that are set back in time. 

What is your favourite theme/genre to write about?

Romance. Definitely romance. 

Do you see writing as a career?

Not really. I see it as a hobbie mostly. But if the opportunity ever arose of writing a book, I wouldn't say no. 

If you could work with any author who would it be?

Julie Kagawa. She's the author of the Iron Fae Series which is awesome. She has created a world that I couldn't even think of coming up with. Working with her would be amazing.

Do you use real-life facts based on true stories?

I like to make my stories as real as possible so yeah, I like to used real life facts just to add more validity to them.

Did you ever think you'd be, where you are right now?

Not in a million years! My first story here was never popular so when I posted my second one I wasn't really thinking anything different would happen. But then suddenly I was getting more and more views and votes. I couldn't believe it and that made me want to write more and more. So now 'Living Like Sleeping Beauty' has nearly 2 million views and I still can't funny believe it. I'm really grateful for all the people who supported my story from the start and who still vote for every chapter. Without them, my book would be nothing. 

What advice would you give to people who "run out of creativity" when writing?

Just take everything in around you. Ideas will come from the simplest things. Seriously. 'Living Like Sleeping Beauty' came about when I was watching sleeping beauty at a friends house and then the next day I was watching a documentary on Narcolepsy and I thought, hmm... What if someone put these two together? And everything started from there. 

Do you ever suffer from writer’s block? If so, what do you do about it?

Yeah I do suffer from it. It sucks. Because I know that the fans of the book want the next chapter and when I can't give it to them, I feel horrible. So then I try and write a chapter anyway, just winging it but the chapters turn out to be terrible so I just stop. My advice to anyone who has writers block, just take a break for a while. I'm pretty sure that people will understand and they will most likely want to wait a while for an awesome chapter rather than get one that sucks. If you take a break, then someday, it might be a week or a month... but sometime you're just going to feel like writing again and your writer's block would be old news. 

Do you have any advice for other writers?

Write what you know. Enjoy what you write and have fun when writing it. If you're having fun, then others will have fun too. 

Anything fun about yourself you want your fans to know?

Hmm... How about the fact that for the first half of Living Like Sleeping Beauty, I had no plan on where the story was going to go. Also, while writing the chapters, I have to have Taylor Swift playing in the background. Her songs really lift my spirits and they put me in the romantic mood to write scenes between 'Penelope and Tyler' and 'Morgan and Scott'.

How would you describe yourself?

I love to laugh and I am a complete romantic. That hopefully probably comes across in my books. Hehe. I also like to please everybody. You wouldn't believe what a nervous wreck I am after I post every chapter of my stories. I'm always waiting for people to say that they don't like my books anymore but amazingly that never happens.
