[Gemma's POV]

After Physics, Ned was waiting for me outside like he said he would and we made our way to the cafeteria. We sat down with a girl who Ned introduced to me as MJ, 'Hi MJ, I'm Gemma.' I said and sat down next to her, 'I'm going to like you, I can tell.' MJ assured.

We started eating our lunches and after a couple of minutes Peter hurried and sat down next to Ned, opposite me. 'Ah I can't believe Math ran over. I swear that teacher has it out for me-' He stopped mid rant when he saw me. 'Gemma!' He said excitedly and shot me a big smile.
'Hey Peter!' I responded, equally as excited.
'Ah so you two know each other.' Ned announced suggestively,
'Yeah we met at Delmar's a couple weeks ago and then in the hall this morning.' Peter confirmed, eating his apple. Damn he was cute. I found myself staring again but I couldn't help it.

We spent the whole of lunch chatting and joking, it was nice to have friends my own age. I hadn't had that since I was 8.

When lunch was over it turned out Peter and I were in the same robotics class after lunch. 'You must be super smart! These are some really hard classes!' Peter professed, looking at my schedule. I couldn't help but feel proud. 'Thanks! It kind of runs in the family. My dad is freakishly smart.' I explained and then the bell sounded.
'Shall we go to Robotics?' Peter asked and I nodded whilst grabbing my things. We laughed our way to class where there was only one bench left was for 2 people together, so Peter and I got to sit together.

Halfway through class, Peter wrote in his notepad and slid it over to me,
'What's your number?'
I smiled at him and wrote it down on the paper. The practical side of class was much more fun, we had to work on a project designing a robot of purpose with our partner so I got to work with Peter. Yay. We got to designing a robot that acted as a translator, you could say anything to it and it could translate it into English, or vice versa. 'It needs a name!' Peter insisted, spinning a pen in his hand, I thought for a moment, us Stark's loved our acronyms so it was only fitting. What about, 'G.A.P.A.L.T.' I said proudly, Peter laughed, 'What?' I asked smiling at his smile, 'Gemma and Peter's artificial language translator!' I laughed now, I realised it was stupid.
'I love it!' Peter laughed and wrote it in block capitals at the top of our Assignment.

When the bell rang for home time, Peter walked me to the front of the school, 'Can I walk you home?' He asked a little awkwardly, he put his hands in his front pockets and hunched his shoulders forward. I really wanted to say yes but I knew he couldn't. 'I'm sorry my...' I didn't know who to say Happy was, 'Uncle! My uncle is picking me up.' I felt bad but there wasn't anything I could do. 'Ah yeah okay, well, I'll see you tomorrow.' He responded a little deflated, but still smiling. 'Yeah! Can't wait.' I tried to lift his spirits, I pulled him into a hug and he hugged me back straight away burying his head into my neck. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket, it was probably Happy. I pulled away, 'Well I'll see you tomorrow.' Peter said, walking out of school.

I pulled out my phone, Happy said he was around the corner so I started to walk. I got into the car where happy was waiting ready to hear about my first day. 'Hey Gem! How was the big first day?' he asked and I delved into my first day. 'It was so good! And I've already made friends!' I started,
'Oh yeah? Do they have names? Might have to do a background check.' Happy half joked, I fake laughed,
'So there's Ned and MJ and Peter.' I replied. That seemed to strike a nerve, 'You okay hap?' I added, but with that I got a text,

[Unknown Number]
Hey Gemma! It's Peter :)

'Yeah, yeah all fine Gemma...' Happy trailed off, but I couldn't concentrate on his weirdness right now. I wanted to reply to Peter.

[Gemma]
Hey Peter! How are you? :)
[Peter Parker]
I'm good, you? I was just
thinking of you...
[Gemma]
Yeah I'm good. I was thinking of you too :)

I was smiling to myself in the back of the car. This felt like something out of a movie.
