"Bit of a late introduction, but I'm Lucas" he laughed as a smile grew on my face and I shook his hand with a laugh

"I'd tell you my name but you already know it"

"Of course I do, who doesn't know your name? Everyone knows the Slytherin Sweetheart" he laughed as my eyes widened and I felt my face flare as I turned to him

"I'm sorry- what?"

"You don't know?"

"No!"

"Everyone was calling you that both last year and the year before"

"They were?"

"Of course they were, although-"

"Although now I get called a freak and a murderer" I cut across him, a small smile as we started walking again and he turned his head with a small smile

"Yeah, that can't be fun. You should know that I won't call you that"

"You won't?"

"Of course not. You're too small to be a murderer-"

"Oh come on, I'm not that small" I told him as he stopped and turned to me as we looked at each other before we both started laughing before carrying on with our walk

"I won't say anything else. You're allowed to go to Hogsmeade this year aren't you?"

"Yeah, first time I'll get to go. Why'd you ask?"

"Well I was going to ask if you wanted to-?"

"No! Absolutely not!" Turning around we both watched Cedric walk down the corridor to us as quick as he could as I hid my head in my hands

"Fuck..."

"What's this all about?" Lucas asked quietly as I lifted my head and gave him an apologetic look as Cedric stood in front of me and I peeked around his side, looking at Lucas who leant against the wall with an amused look on his face

"Everything alright here, Diggory?"

"You can back off"

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me plainly Campbell. Don't you dare even think about trying anything with my Lia. You can just hop back on your high horse and trot off-"

"Merlins beard Diggory keep your head on, I wasn't trying anything yet, I was-"

"Don't say 'yet'. You won't be trying anything at all"

"I was only asking her a couple of questions. But I can tell where I'm not wanted, I'll talk to you again soon Lia"

"Bye Lucas" I said to him quietly as he walked off with a grin and my cheeks continued to burn as Cedric turned to me and I glanced up, looking away as he raised his eyebrows at me

"No. Not him, absolutely not-"

"Cedric, you're going to say that about anyone I show even the slightest bit of interest in" I mumbled as he let out a quiet sigh and wrapped his arm around my shoulders as we walked in the direction of the Slytherin common room
