"What I love about you is that you're a mixture of soft curves and hard edges. Simultaneously you are filled with both love and rage. You can be extremely compassionate but just as equally cruel. You are not just sass. You are darkness and bitterness, happiness and joy, all wrapped up in a small and tiny frame that causes people to underestimate you. They should not underestimate you. I would never underestimate you, you scare me"

"Umm... thank you?"

"No problem. I love a lot of things about you"

"Really?"

"Of course. But that was only a mere fraction of what I love about you"

"I love you Ced"

"I love you more"

"Debatable"

"It's really not Lia"

"But-"

"I'm taller! I have more capacity to love!"

"That's not fair!"

"I can't control how tall you are Lia"

"You're bullying me"

"No, I'm loving you. There's a difference"

"I don't think there is-"

"I'm hurt-"

"You're hurt?! How do you think I felt when you said you were scared of me?!" I asked laughing as I looked up at Cedric while he paused, looking back at me with a grin

"Let me change that, I'm scared of angry you-"

"Have you seen angry me?"

"I don't know, I don't think so"

"Well Ced, as lovely as this little chat was I'm afraid I've got to go, I can't leave Blaise alone for much longer"

"Isn't he with one of your other friends?"

"No, the three girls went home, apparently they were made to... or well Pansy was" I told him as he nodded and I was pulled into a tight hug as a smile grew on my face

"Well I suppose I better let you go then. Merry Christmas Lia"

"Merry Christmas Cedric. I'll see you later" I told him as he smiled slightly and I stepped back, waving to him as I disappeared down the steps, the vast majority of the school having gone home for the holidays left the corridors feeling empty. Finding Blaise wandering the potions corridor I smiled at him after he had turned around

"There you are! I couldn't find you"

"I don't think you were looking for me"

"I was too lazy"

"Wow Blaise, I love you too"

"I know- we've got company" watching him nod behind me I stood next to him before turning my head, grinning at Nathan who was walking towards us

"Merry Christmas Dalmer"

"Happy Christmas Lia"

"You say 'happy'?"

"He's strange" I explained to Blaise quietly as the two of us grinned at him and he wrapped an arm around me and we continued walking to the common room

"So is this me finally getting to see the place you spend sixty five percent of your time?"

"Sixty five?"

"Twenty at the quidditch pitch, ten in class and five in your dorm"

"Oh... well, then yes. Pure-blood" watching the archway appear we let Blaise in first before I led Nathan in and watched amused as he looked around surprised

"Booked a bed yet, Black?"

"What?" Turning around I looked at Malfoy who was sitting on one of the couches, Crabbe and Goyle opposite him as I leant against the cabinet not too far away, glancing at my stack of books I had left there the other day before looking back to him

"A bed. In the hospital wing. Maybe if you're quick enough to do so, they'll keep a bed for you next to your mudblood of a mother" he spat as I stopped, staring at him blankly while Nathan's words failed to reach my ears as I felt my blood slowly started to boil as I grabbed the closest one of my books, a thick, hardback Ancient Runes one as I raised my arms and threw it straight at him with a shout of rage. Grabbing my transfiguration book I failed to reach him as I was dragged away, shouting at the top of my lungs as I lobbed it at him while I was brought down to the dorm, shouting at the top of my lungs as the door shut

"That fucking bastard!"

"Amelia, please-"

"I'll break his fucking neck!"

"Amelia, it's happening again" Nathan told me, making me look down as I stared at my arms, completely white as I shoved myself off of him and darted to the bathroom. Locking the door I stared in the mirror, making me jump back after I had seen myself. Every part of visible skin had turned a bright white colour as I took my hands away from the sink, the sides of it having froze over as I looked back up to myself, staring at my eyes blankly as they slowly started to go back to their normal colour, having been misted over. Feeling a sharp pain run down my spine I let out a shout as I gripped at the sink tightly, clamping my eyes shut as I started shaking and I grew cold, my eyes rolling into the back of my head as I felt myself fall.
