A/N: This chapter is shorter than the last two but honestly I love it so much and I hope you all do too.

Confused, Edmund woke up the next morning and took in his surroundings. Realizing he was in Cassie's bed, he stood up quickly and began looking around for her- knocking the book off her desk. The sound woke Cassie up quickly, her head jolting up as she grabbed her wand.

"Oh- it's you." she said, rubbing her eyes, attempting to wipe away the tiredness.

"I fell asleep last night?" he asked, slowly. "Why are you laying on the chair?"

"You fell asleep before I left the bathroom. You took up most of the bed, and I couldn't exactly sleep on top of you, so I grabbed a blanket and slept on the chair." Cassie said, now standing and cracking her back. "Though I will admit, you did leave enough room for Griffin."

Griffin is a stuffed teddy-bear her parents had sent her after finding out she was sorted into Gryffindor. The bear had dark fur and the Gryffindor uniform on, with a wand and scarf included.

Edmund chuckled and picked up the bear, "Nice name, very original."

"I was 11, not sure what you expected from me." she said jokingly, putting her hair into a ponytail. "Er- I'm going to shower. It's eleven now, so I'll meet you at lunch?"

"Oh- right. I'll slide down the stairs." said Edmund, making his way to the door. "See ya, Cass."

"See ya, Ed."

During her shower, Cassie couldn't help but think about how many times she got red yesterday. It wasn't like her to get flustered at most moments, which is why she was confused on its sudden appearance. She tried to convinced herself it was the acts, not the person.

On his way back to his dorm, Edmund couldn't help but think about how nervous he got around Cassie. He would try to hide it with smirks and jokes, but he knew it was something else. He didn't know what to call this feeling, but he felt it every time he talked to her. He tried to convince himself that it was the unfamiliar feeling of friendship, and not something else.

Over the next couple of days, Cassie and Edmund would go over the same schedule. Wake up, head to breakfast together, spend the day together, suffer through detention together, say goodnight, and repeat. Throughout the week you always found them- together. They planned to celebrate together on New Year's eve and day, as if they had other plans.

"I mean, who wants to torture people on New Year's eve and day? She might make me jump off the Astronomy Tower." said Cassie, cutting into her steak.

"If you jump, I'm jumping with you." Edmund replied, earning a laugh from Cassie. "Are we going to your dorm tonight or mine?"

"Mine is closer to the kitchens." said Cassie.

"Yours it is." said Edmund, smiling at the girl. He was afraid of drinking the butter beer for tonight and doing something he'll regret, but hoped for the best.

After a light dinner, Edmund and Cassie went to Umbridge's office- an unfortunate, week-long tradition. After an overly excited 'Come in!', the two shot each other confused looks and made their way into the office.

"Come in, sit, sit." said Umbridge happily. "Seeing as today is your last day, I decided to switch things up and add a little- spark to your night."

Cassie looked skeptically at Edmund, confused on if her hand was going to light on fire or not. Looking at his desk, Cassie realized they had the same quill this time. It was blue and white, and cackled when you moved the feathers.
