Cassie didn't know what to do with Edmund. She had to admit that Ron had a point, but wanted to give Edmund a chance. Cassie had a bad habit of over thinking, and couldn't help but think that if she didn't show up tonight then Edmund wouldn't trust her even if he wasn't lying then other people wouldn't trust her and she would loose everyone- you get the point.

She decided to read to take her mind off of the topic- The Invisible Life of Addie Larue. Hermione gifted the book to her in second year and Cassie never got to read it.

After an hour or so she heard the door open and assumed Lavender or someone had walked in, but when Cassie heard the door shut she knew who was in the room.

"I'm not mad, y'know." said Hermione while pulling up a chair closer to Cassie.

"Harry and Ron are." said Cassie, now closing her book. "I feel bad making Harry think I could be turning on him, but Edmund deserves a chance."

Hermione looked towards the ground. "You have to realize the boys are- sensitive."

Cassie and Hermione locked eyes and immediately burst into laughter.

Cassie shook her head while her laughter died out. "I'll apologize for leaving tomorrow at breakfast."

Hermione nodded and slowly made her way back to her bed. "Are you going to the Astronomy Tower tonight?"

"A part of me wants to hear what Edmund says, another wants to end this all right now- before I get in too deep." said Cassie, falling into her sheets. "I don't want to go and have Harry and Ron not trust me- I may have a lot of friends but if any of you guys didn't trust me I don't know what'd I would do with myself."

"I think you should go." said Hermione.

"Really?"

"Y-yes. I won't tell Harry or Ron."

Cassie got up from her bed and gave Hermione a hug. "Thank you." she whispered. "Since we have a couple hours, can I talk about a new book to you?"

Hermione smiled sheepishly at the girl. "Let's hear it."

"Okay so there's this woman, and she's not supposed to pray after dark hours..."

-

After all of her dorm mates went to sleep, Cassie wrapped her Gryffindor scarf around her neck and made her way to the Astronomy Tower. She finished her homework with Hermione and during meals and decided not to bring her book bag.

"Cassie?"

Busted.

Cassie was ready to face Mr Filch and slowly turned around to see-

"Ron?" said Cassie confused. "You've got a broom in your hand?"

Ron looked down embarrassingly and scratched the back of his neck. He then looked very mad. "You're going to the Astronomy Tower aren't you?"

"W-well you've been practicing Quidditch and not telling us! Is that why you've been complaining about the weather at meals?" asked Cassie suspiciously.

"Y-yea. But you're going to see a Slytherin!"

Cassie didn't know what to do. "I won't tell anyone about you sneaking out to practice Quidditch if you don't tell anyone where I'm going."

Ron put a very serious face on, somewhat confusing Cassie on what the matter was. "Yea alright, but be in your dorm before one- I don't wanna be writing you up."

"Yea alright- goodnight Ron."

"Goodnight Cassie."

Cassie quickly picked her pace up on the way to the tower and prayed to Merlin she wouldn't run into anyone else. When she made it to the door of the tower and saw Edmund sitting at one of the tables, she released an unknown breath and entered the tower.

"Hi." said Cassie quietly. She noticed Edmund peek up from his paperwork and a smile spread across his face and she couldn't help but feel guilty for second guessing him.

"Hey." Edmund said as he stood up. Cassie tried to keep the same happy expression but he saw right through it. "D-did I say something?"

"N-no! Well, maybe." she said guiltily. "Let's sit and talk- like friends."

"Alright.. What happened?" Edmund asked.

"So apparently throwing a paper ball at someone draws attention," while saying this she couldn't help but crack a smile. "Harry and Ron noticed and they don't think I can trust you- I mean I think I can trust you it's just they brought it to my attention and they're really important to me and their trust is important to me and I want to be friends of course but-"

"Cassie." Edmund said while smiling, amused at the girl's confrontation skills. "I'm not offended- I understand what you're saying. I don't know how to prove my loyalty to you but I need you to trust me- isn't that what friends depend on? Trust? I know I've been a dickhead  the past couple of years but I've changed, really."

"But why the sudden change?" asked Cassie.

"I-I'm sorry, I cant tell you that yet. Maybe some day but not now." he said slowly.

"I understand."

They stood in comfortable silence for a while until the air seemed to get colder and Edmund noticed Cassie wrap her scarf around her neck tighter. He took of his scarf and gave it to her, "You can keep it."

"Really?" she asked gratefully.

"Really, and you should get to bed- It's getting late."

She smiled at the boy's kind gesture and made her way to the exit. "Goodnight Edmund."

"Goodnight Cassie."

He watched her petite figure leave the room and he himself stayed a while longer. After half an hour he made his way back to the dungeons, said the common room password, and made his way to his dorm.

"Did you do it?" asked Draco while changing into his pajamas. This question earned a glare from Blaise.

"She's a kind girl- don't know why'd you pick her." said Blaise thoughtfully.

Draco scoffed at his statement. "Don't tell me you're friends with her."

"I'm not she just didn't do anything to you- waste of time if you ask me. You should take your anger out on that mud blood Granger."

Edmund was watching them go back and forth until Draco asked him again. "Did you do it?"

"Yea, I gave her the scarf." Edmund said slowly, causing Draco to smile and excuse himself to get a water. This left Blaise and Edmund alone in the room, their other dorm mates not present.

"You're a bitch, you know?" said Blaise while making his way to Edmund. "I know you didn't wanna do it- but you still did."

"I don't know what you're talking about." said Edmund forcefully. "Gryffindors are awful- of course I wanted to do it."

"You'd like her if you got to know her." Blaise said, retreating back to his bed but keeping his look on Edmund. It was silent for a moment before Edmund spoke up again.

"I gave her another scarf."

Blaise looked up slowly from his bed and up ag Edmund. "You did?"

"Y-yea. But if you tell Malfoy I won't hesitate to hex you- and we both know who would win in a duel." said Edmund.

Blaise showed a smile and shook his head to the ground. "You're a weird boy, Pevensie."

I'm sorry this chapter is a lot of dialogue I just wanted to develop the series's plot more so I guess you could consider this a filler?
