"I think I'll write to Sirius, see what he thinks-"

"You can't put something like that in a letter!" said Hermione looking alarmed. "We can't guarantee owls aren't being intercepted any more!"

"All right then I won't tell him, then!" said Harry angrily. "Tell Ron I've gone to bed, will you?"

"Oh no, if you go I'm going too. Cassie can tell him." said Hermione, standing up and walking to the dorms.

"Yea yea, goodnight you two." said Cassie cheerfully.

-

Cassie had begged Hermione to let her sleep in until lunch, but the girl wouldn't give in. Hermione did, however, let the girl sleep in an extra half hour which made Cassie happy. Cassie did her every day morning routine like every other morning, and made her way to breakfast with Hermione to find Ron already eating.

"Why were you up so early?" asked Cassie as her and Hermione sat down.

"Couldnt sleep- Quidditch has gotten me up all night." said Ron, rubbing his eyes and pouring more coffee. "I don't even like coffee and this is my third cup."

"Maybe you should put that down..." said Cassie while grabbing the coffee mug. "You're going to throw up on the field before you block a goal."

Ron's eyes widened and he quickly put down his fork and knife and rubbed his mouth. While he did this, Harry entered the Great Hall.

"Morning." said Harry cheerily as he sat down.

"What's got you happy?" asked Cassie.

"Erm...Quidditch later.." said Harry, quickly stacking his plate with food.

"Oh yea..listen Harry- you don't fancy going down a bit earlier with me do you? Just—er-So I can get some extra practice in?" Ron asked Harry.

Cassie watched how excited Harry's reaction was and quickly looked down. Why hadn't he asked her? She was a chaser, and they had made up last night.

"I don't think you should." said Hermione, throwing Cassie a look. "You've both got plenty of homework and-"

Hermione was cut off by the sound of owls arriving and her usual Daily Prophet newsletter. She quickly gave the owl a Knut and he flew off. Cassie noticed her family's snowy owl coming her way with two letters and two boxes of chocolate- one for her and one for Rolf, her brother.

The owl dropped the letter on her lap and must have caught her brother's attention because when she looked up, he was looking at her worryingly. They don't usually get letters unless something poor has happened, and that hasn't been since Cassie's second year when their family owl had died. The siblings get owls for special occasions as well, but they weren't sure what could be happening.

Cassie quickly took the letter and ripped it open, not caring at the curious eyes around her. She quickly scanned the letter for upsetting news, however she ended up with a smile on her face.

Dear Cassie,

How's Hogwarts? Everyone at home misses you and Rolf very much and want you to know we're doing well here. I was told not to scare you and your brother with a letter, seeing as there isn't an important occasion going on, however I figured you'd find out eventually. Newt and Tina are moving out the house to a cottage nearby. I wanted to let you know since you're getting their old room, and Rolf is getting yours since he'll be moving out sooner. This might be an unnecessary letter, however when you come home for the holidays I don't want you to be surprised when your room has Hufflepuff posters on it. Besides for that, I don't have much to tell you. Tell Hermione, Ron, and Harry your father and I say our hellos, and make sure to share the box of chocolates we've sent. We miss you more every day and hope you can write back soon.

Lots of love,

Mom x

PS- good luck in Quidditch, we've heard you're co-captain of the Gryffindor team and we couldn't be more proud.

When she looked up she noticed her friends in discussion about a man named Strugis Podmore and him getting six months in Azkaban for trying to get through a door. Cassie felt eyes on her and noticed Hermione looking at her carefully, trying to read her expression from the letter.

"It's good news- grandpa Newt and grandpa Tina are moving into a cottage and I get their old room. They've sent chocolates for everyone." said Cassie happily.

"You call them grandpa and grandma like they're normal people." said Ron.

"They are normal." frowned Cassie.

"Normal people don't own thousands of galleons-"

"What is your problem?" asked Hermione. "Leave Cassie alone."

Cassie shot Hermione a knowing smile and excused herself to finish her homework. She looked forward to Quidditch and decided to bottle up her anger and release it during practice- like she always did.

She made her way to the library and was excited to see a certain Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw at the back table.

"How are my favorite French boys doing?" Cassie asked, wrapping her arms around the shoulders of the two.

"I'm pretty sure we're the only French boys you know." said Louis shaking his head at the girl. "We've been good- pretty bored, really. I'd say Timothée's been less bored though." he said wiggling his evebrows.

Cassie then turned to the Ravenclaw. "And whyyy is that?"

"I said I would tell her at lunch! But since you seem more excited, I guess you could tell her the news.." Timothée said.

Louis basically jumped from his seat at the excitement. "Timothée is the new Quidditch captain for Ravenclaw."

Cassie slowly averted her gaze to Timothée and gave him a scare when she jumped in his arms. "I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!"

Timothée couldn't help but laugh at the girl's actions as he hugged her back. "Thank you- but I couldn't have done it without you helping me back in third year."

Cassie could not get anyone to wipe the smile off her face- she truly was happy for her friends' achievements and couldn't help but feel happy.

"Oh you're going to do great, I can tell! Competitors or not I hope the best for you." she said happily.

"Thank you Cassie, I know you and your love for Quidditch, and you have no idea how much that means to me." he told her. "But being captain means I need good grades, so want to join Louis and I on that essay for Sprout?"

Cassie smiled at the invite. "I'd love to, Captain!"

"Don't call me that."

"Alright."
