Kurapika x Reader ONESHOTS !

Christmas party

Eee this is short and late but ok! I am also writing this on the 25th at like 12 am sooo uhh yeah...
Bf/n: best friend's name (author Chan's best friends nickname is Maree,so...Leorio ur one lucky dude 🥰)

Kurapika and Y/n were chatting as they sat down comfortably in a couch. They were at a Hunter's Christmas party which was beaming with joy.

The night went on and Kurapika and Y/n continued to chat. They revealed stuff about each other that they hadn't, and Kurapika couldn't help but blush. He had been great friends with Y/n since they started working together for the Nostrades,and Kurapika fell in love with her. He had wanted to confess to her with all his heart, but he wasn't able to...until he came up with a master plan with his friend Leorio.

***Flash back*******************************

"Hey Leorio..."Kurapika started off. "I wanted to ask you for some advice-" he was cut off by Leorio somehow audible smirk.

"You want to confess to Y/n at the Christmas party? Gotcha" Kurapika was shocked at Leorio's remark. His face went as red as his scarlet eyes. How did Leorio know that Kurapika was in love with Y/n ?

"H-hh-how did you...HOW DID YOU KNOW ?!"

"Well, first of all you asked me how I knew that you were going to confess to Y/n...oh and second of all, I saw the way you were lookin' at her when we went to that cafe and shopping mall. Your face totally didn't go red as you fantasized about Y/n as we walked past the linger-"

"TAKE THAT BACK LEORIO! I'm not a PERVERT like you!"

"Oh yeah, sureeee. Your a closet perv!"

"LEEOOORRRIIIIOOO!"Kurapika screamed as he walked over to his friend and punched him, right in the stomach. Leorio made an 'oof'' sound as he tried to recover.

"Hey, hey! That wasn't necessary!" Leorio stammered out. Kurapika only responded with a 'hmph' noise.

"Okay...what type of advice do you need?"

"Well as you know, I want to confess my feelings to Y/n at the Christmas party...so it needs to be Christmas related...but how...?"

"Mistletoe"

"What...?"

"M-I-S-T-L-E-T-O-E" Leorio spelled out, he even finger spelled it for Kurapika to understand. The blonde pulled out his phone and searched up what 'mistletoe' was.

"Hmmm...LEORIO! I just wanted to confess to her, not kiss her !"

"Nononono! You must kiss her! Unexpected kiss then a confession!"

"I guess, if that's what it takes...but how would I kiss her? This would be my 1st kiss, but I don't know about hers..."

"Soft, passionate, with love, wrap your arms around her, look into her eyes with love. Really get into it, but not that into it, DON'T turn it into a make out session because you are at a party...don't bite or nibble on her lip... Don't try anything sexy okay?"

"Oh-o-okay...w-w-what do I do with my tongue?"

"Keep it in your mouth, nothin' sexy remember?"

Kurapika nodded. He was quite nervous, he had never confessed his feelings before. It had made him blush as Leorio told him what to do while kissing Y/n.

"And soooo...hmph, I'm quite nervous Leorio."

"Don't be, You truly love and care for Y/n don't you? Y/n is great person...if you don't make her yours...might aswell make her mine..." Leorio reassured Kurapika, but also poked fun at him. Obviously, Kurapika didn't take this as a joke and got very angry at Leorio. The blonde picked up a pillow and threw it at Leorio.

"Hey HEY! I'm just kidding...I've got my eyes set on Bf/n here...you know, she's also a hunter and studying in the medi-"

"Good, Y/n is mine and Bf/n is yours...but wait, what exactly was the mistletoe for ?"

Leorio froze, he was the one who brought up the mistletoe. He wasn't so sure how to incorporate it into Kurapika's confession. Leorio thought for a few seconds, and then proposed the idea to his friend.

"Hmmm, you're talking to Y/n, sitting on a couch or a bench...I walk up from behind, with mistletoe in my hand and place it on the celling above you and say something like 'hey, how are you guys ?' And then you 2 look and be like 'hey Leorio' then you, Kurapika, say something like 'what's that on the celling ? *hehe*' or whatever your giggle sounds like. AND THEN Y/n is like 'mistletoe...' THEN YOU'RE ALL LIKE 'mhm~*mwah mwah*' AND YOU KISS HER!...watcha' think about my plan huh?"

Kurapika stared at his friend in utter shock and confusion. He wasn't sure what to think of about Leorio's dramatic plan...so, he thought of ways that he could change it to be his way.

"Hmmm, what if...instead of I asking what up on the celling, I tell Y/n something along the lines of 'mistletoe...Y/n, do you know what this means? We kiss...' and then I kiss her ?"

"Oh. My. God. Kurapika your such a flirt...and yeah, that works out better."

***end of flashback**************************

"Y/n...do you believe in those Christmas traditions?" Kurapika asked his love interest, Y/n. For his plan to work, he need to make sure that Y/n knew what mistletoe was. Kurapika was getting quite nervous, his heart was starting to race. It was getting near the time where he would signal to Leorio to come over and place the mistletoe.

Y/n nodded, and they both started to talk about Christmas traditions. Kurapika was quite interested about what Y/n was saying. 'Everyone views Christmas differently, and Y/n is one of them" he kept thinking.

Luckily for Kurapika, Y/n seemed to know what mistletoe was, and also wasn't too embarrassed by it. It actually surprised him, he remembered a time when Neon asked her if she ever had a boyfriend and Y/n responded with a no. Neon has proceeded to ask her about other things and Y/n seemed very uncomfortable...

It was now time. Kurapika's plan to confess to Y/n was going to start. Now.

Kurapika placed his hand behind the couch and shifted closer to Y/n. He then started to finger spell 'now' with the hand that was behind the couch to catch Leorio's attention.

Luckily it did catch Leorio's attention! He had been drinking a bit, and got Kurapika worried that he couldn't help out with the plan.

Leorio silently walked over while Kurapika and Y/n chatted, not distracting Y/n somehow. After he set up the mistletoe, he began to speak to catch the possibly-soon-to-be couple's attention.

"Hey guys how's the night going?" Leorio started off, just as he told kurapika he would. Kurapika tapped his foot, in a manner of saying 'the plan has started'

"Oh hey Leorio...mistletoe? Up above us?" Y/n pointed out. She wasn't sure if it was there all this time, or that it had just appeared magically out of nowhere. She wasn't to worried about it,  but knowing how Leorio was, scared her.

"Mistletoe...mhm, Y/n...You know, mistletoe is a symbol of love. And when 2 people are under it, they kiss...do you know what this means ?" Kurapika said somewhat flirty as he got closer and closer to Y/n. It was time. time for him to kiss her. Time for him to confess to his love to her.

"It means...we kiss..." Kurapika moved his lips towards Y/n's and kissed her softly. He moved his hand up to Y/n's waist, as Y/n placed her hands on Kurapika's shoulder's. They parted after a few seconds to evaluate what had just happened. They were also concerned by Leorio's quiet fangirling noises that he was making.

"Kurapika, I didn't know you felt this way..."

"Most importantly, Y/n, do you also feel this way?"

"I-I-I...Yes...Kurapika...I love you..."

"I love you too, my precious Y/n"

Hehehe I'm sorry this is so late, and that it's not short like the beginning said it was. Uhhh, happy late Christmas and cheers to a new year and more of  Leorio's fangirling noises ? Yes, okay ? Okay, I'll be quiet now 😳
