Hidden In Plain Sight, A Reality

Through your eyes I saw the world in despair. A person who was normal, who did what they could to care.

The environment that surrounded you was on fire, and you were consumed, eventually becoming a part.

What broke my heart, shattered it, was that... All of these events- They were real issues.

In this world you've always been in, to me, was a comic book, a fantasy.

This brought out a different perspective, one that was real, that only an adult could understand.

Child Me would have thought you were crazy but I'm not a child anymore.

It broke my heart to see you break. Deep down inside, I realized... This could happen to anyone.

Anyone 'ordinary', any person can break. Everyone handles their situation differently but that doesn't mean that no one doesn't have a melting point.

Although this was for entertainment, I felt your pain as my own. The reality of how life can beat you down. It's real and the message I heard was loud.

I wanted Joker a couple of hours ago with my girlfriend. The movie was supposed to be a back story for the Joker (not the comic book version). It broke my heart watching it because of how real it felt. ***Spoiler alert*** The movie starts with the Joker as an ordinary person. He works as a clown. He gets beat up, and his life has its up and downs but then it slowly begins to deteriorate. The people he cares about the most/look up to the most lie to him and as he learns the truth he feels that his life is a joke.

I remember my Junior High – High School years. I remember how I felt that the world was crashing down on me, and people were willing to step in and help me. Even though they didn't have to they did. I didn't have my parents. I thought they were my idols but they were the ones causing my pain. I trusted my family because I thought that they were the ones who were supposed to be trusted but I learned on my own that family is defined not by blood but by the actions that people do for you without asking. The people who are there for you with having you beg for it.

From what I understand, the Joker was an ordinary man, he was lied to, and everywhere he thought he could turn for guidance, it would blow up in his face. Granted, he didn't have to kill those people, but at one point, someone handed him a gun and said 'protect yourself' and he took that matter into his own hands. If I had been giving a gun at a young age instead of a mentor, I feel that I would have reacted the same way. If I was taught that it was okay to shoot, then I would have.

Seeing this movie made me see a different perspective in life. I never cared for the Joker but the actor in this movie portrayed him well (as an ordinary person and as the joker). I recommend this movie but I also want the people who see this to know that the movie is dark and real. I don't recommend anyone under eighteen to watch it unless you understand politics. If you believe that you can handle the movie and what is says, then watch it but I wouldn't recommend anyone under the legal age to watch the movie.
