Do We Ever Grow Up?

As kids we say we want to do things when we grow up,

our words just silly things,

a princess,

an austronaut,

a scientist,

a rockstar,

later those our words become fantasies,

but now our words are different,

an air hostess,

a fashion designer,

a singer,

a poet,

an author,

a travel agent,

our words change as we grow up,

our fantasies sometimes come true,

but are we really happy with what we do?,

or is it all just a big mistake?,

our words turn into regrets,

then we become someone else,

we become hard workers,

issue filled people,

a darkened soul,

with a tired heart,

our happiness,

turns into tears,

everything we wanted turns to dust,

no longer are we what we wanted to be,

this was all just a dream,

do we ever grow up?
