Graceland

The gates open,

you feel,

like entering heaven,

memories of childhood you're given.

at the top,

stands a house,

no, it is not a house,

but a palace,

the so called palace is called Graceland,

in this place,

music was truly born,

this is where the end was torn,

never will be a wasteland,

this is where heavenly whites, blues, silvers and golds were worn,

bullies warn you,

laugh at you,

the legend you still mourn,

the legend in your heart you keep,

this is the place of rock n'roll and blues,

in the music the notes make you feel like they ooze,

in the barn with the horses you lay down,

you stay for a snooze,

not wanting to forget your muse,

this is one of the places to choose,

this is the place of the energetic,

musical fuse,

you walk around enjoying the views,

forgetting the 37 years ago news,

this is where my idol made most of his music,

never he made it confusing.

watched him, Elvis,

by most people named the pelvis,

gyrating his hips,

giving him unkind rating,

adults hating,

making him and the girls to be mating,

to me he was rebellious,

making other singers to be over zealous,

making everyone feel jealous.
