Silence

Not saying a word,

stuck in a dark room,

the walls close in,

my heart beats, thumping,

soon going to jump out of my skin,

in my heart an emptiness lies,

inside I scream,

I close my eyes wishing I could open up,

just once more,

in the air I feel a stillness,

why is the air so empty,

I can hardly breath,

I hear you chuckle as if I said a bad joke,

through the emptyness I choke,

the sound of your breathe, in sync with mine,

you trace patterns along my spine,

I shiver as you deliver,

the rustle of your sweet words reach my ears,

on my face fall my hot tears,

the silence brings me to you.
