Halloween Ball (Part 2)

Damian's POV

 How could I have been such an idiot! I thought that by kissing her and using my 'seductive' powers on her that she would fall for me but I was wrong. Now what am I going to do? I know that I could just terminate the contract and let her be happy with that jerk. But now that's me, practically giving up on something that I really wanted. I know I like Ariana, ALOT! I doubt that it's love but it is strong. The way she laughs when I make jokes in class or the way her eyes soften when she sees me. Ugh! I need to get her to trust me again. All I need is a plan. I continued to look at the lake while trying to think of something.

"Excuse me sir but have you seen my shoes?" A soft and comforting voice spoke from above me. I glanced up from my sitting position and noticed a girl with blonde hair cascading down her back. As I stared into her slivery eyes, she clear her throat.

"I'm sorry what?" I blushed. 

"It's okay." She paused. "I don't suppose you've seen my shoes." She asked and I looked down at her feet and finally noticed that she was wearing any shoes. When I didn't respond she continued. "I think the Nargles took them, their always hiding my stuff. I'm Luna Lovegood by the way."

"Damian Rich, it's a pleasure." I smiled sympathetically because she could not have been more wrong about the disppearance of her shoes. Earlier today I saw a couple Raveclaw boys hiding something behind a tree in the courtyard and I'm willing to bet my fangs that it was her shoes.They kept talking about how 'luny lovegood' was going to freak. "Umm I think I saw the 'Nargles' hiding your shoes over by the courtyard." 

"Really" I nodded and she smiled a very cute smile. I couldn't help but fawn over this girl a bit. 

"Here, I'll help you find them." I stood up and walked with her over to the courtyard.

On our way, I couldn't help but feel care-free around her. She was telling me about her father's article in the Quibbler when she trip, I quickly grabbed her but it was too late she had already scrapped her knee. I grimaced but then began to panic once I smelled the blood. Usually I have a good tolerance against blood but not tonight. Her blood smelled divine. 

"Are you a vampire?" She asked casually, as if we were discussing the weather.

"Uhh-um" I stuttered. Dammit! "Why would you think that?" 

"Well, your abnormally handsome, your eyes dilated and turned black the minute I scraped my knee and not to mention the super human speed you just perform trying to catch me before I fell." I felt my heart flutter. She thought I was handsome. "It's okay if you don't want to tell me."

"No, your right. I am but you can't tell anyone okay?" I said sternly.

"Okay" She paused and looked around. "I found them." She jumped up and ran behind the tree where her shoes were located. "Thank you Damian." She smiled and I couldn't help but smile back.

"No problem." We began to walk and soon we were at the entrance to her common room. She was a Ravenclaw.

"Well this is my stop." 

"Yes it is." She began to leave when I held her hand back. She looked up at me quizically. "Hey Luna, I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go to the Halloween Ball with me?" I said nervously and I don't know why because I'm usually smoother with girls.

"I'd love to." She smiled and began to walk away.

"Oh and Luna!" I yelled and she turned around.

"If 'Nargles' bother you again just tell me and I'll handle it. Okay?" 

"Okay." She smiled warmly and entered the common room.
