Isn't Working

"Shawn, why are you doing this?" I sobbed, staring at the man who owned my heart, who was shredding it in his own hands.

"This just isn't working," he replied monotoned, his eyes never flickering up at me once. He lifted the cigarette up to his lips, his cheeks hollowing for a brief second before blowing out the thick grey smoke.

"What isn't working Shawn?! Tell me what I'm doing wrong, I can change!" I begged like a lunatic, not caring how desperate I looked.

I was so in love with him, I couldn't loose him. He was what kept me grounded; I needed him more than I needed oxygen to breath.

"I don't have time for you anymore, (Y/N), I don't need you tying me down when I have music to make," He stated, anger beginning to blaze in his words as if he was sick of his own voice.

His words were like arrows being shot straight through my stomach, causing me great pain. His career had changed him, he wasn't the man I once fell for.

"Fine, I understand. You have more important priorities," I whispered, my words adding to my pain knowing this isn't what I wanted.

I never wanted to give in so easily; I wanted answers. Although I knew I wasn't getting any answers, he just wanted me gone.

He blinked whilst clenching his jaw, aggressively crushing down his cigarette in the ash tray laying next to him. His legs were wide open as he leaned his elbows on his thighs.

I grabbed onto my bag that was already packed, a bag he'd previously packed for me before I got home from work. He had planned this, which just added to my heartbreak.

"Goodbye, shawn. Take care," I mumbled, looking at him through my tear glazed eyes. My kindness was just an instinct; right now he didn't deserve it one bit.

He suddenly sighed loudly and stood up unexpectedly. "You're making this harder than it should be. Please just leave."

I squeezed my eyes shut and allowed a few years to escape, as his eyes slowly met mine. His face showed remorse for a split second, the looking disappearing the second it came.

"Okay, I'm sorry." I breathed out, using my free hand to wipe under my eyes. My whole world felt like it was closing in on me with every step I took towards the door.

Without looking back I opened the door, and let out a shaky breath when I felt his cold hand touch my waist gently. Without questioning it I sighed, lapping up the last of the affection I would ever receive from him.

His front pressed against my back and I felt his breathing against the base of my neck, more tears escaping my eyes.

The hand that was on my waist gripped tighter as his thumb circled in a comforting manor. "Lo siento, (Y/N)," He whispered against my ear, his head dropping down into my neck as I gasped. (I'm sorry.)

My grip on the door became loose as I released it, gaining enough strength to grab onto his hand and removing it from me.

If I allowed him to continue caressing me I never would've left. He was the one kicking me out, I needed to get a grip and accept the harsh taste of reality.

But to my surprise, his hand immediately went back into its old position on my waist before I removed it, only mumbling a simple, "No."

He let out a shaky sigh, his nose nuzzling along my neck, my eyes widening when I felt his soft lips connect to my neck. He's the one acting as if I was the one leaving him which baffled me.

What was he playing at? My tears and sadness soon turned to anger as I vigorously moved away from him, his warmth soon leaving me.

"Just stop, Shawn. You're the one wanting me gone, snap out of it," I snapped, my voice on the edge of breaking.

"Wait-" He began, but I opened the door and slammed it shut just in time, leaving everything good I once had in my life.

Heyyy! So I felt like posting today, even though I don't really post anymore :/

Recently I've been writing a new book, not a fan fiction but just a teen fiction, which is why I'm not really active anymore.

Anyway, I hope this isn't too bad, I haven't wrote an imagine in a while!
