"Hello beautiful." Shawn sang whilst walking into my office. I smiled at his presence and continued to type on my laptop.

"Hey." I giggled, once he pressed his lips against my cheek.

"Soo... what're doing?" He asked and wrapped his arms around my waist from behind.

"Just finishing my work application."

"Ugh... sounds boring." He groaned and closed my laptop shut. He suddenly spun my office chair around, as a shriek left my lips.

"Shawn, what are you doing? I have to finish my application." I whined, and he helped me stand from my chair.

"I don't careee. I have something for you." He mocked my voice, followed by a laugh.

I rolled my eyes playfully, and he continued to lead me through our house with his hand on my back.

"Close your eyes honey." He whispered, taking ahold of my hands. I obeyed him, and scrunched my eyebrows together in confusion.

I felt him release my hands, and I stopped in my tracks. Shuffling was heard from around the room, followed by the sound of a bell.
A bell?

"Okay... open your eyes." He announced.

My eyes slowly fluttered open, and I gasped at the little furry animal Shawn had in his arms.

A small kitten, with a red bow and a bell tied around its neck. I gaped at it in awe, and Shawn smiled at my expression.

"It's a baby boy." He grinned and petted the little fur ball, causing it to purr.

"Oh my god!!" I said in a soft voice. "It's so cute!"

I ran over to Shawn, and began to pet the kitten. It was a beautiful white colour, with brown stripes.

"Hope, you can hold him. He's your kitten." Shawn chuckled slightly, watching the excitement in my eyes.

I giggled and gently took the kitten from Shawn's grip. I scratched behind the kitten's ear, and it snuggled into my hand.

"This is the best surprise ever! Thank you baby." I smiled, and gave Shawn a passionate kiss on the lips.

He hummed in appreciation. "I should get you more gifts if I get that in return."

I chuckled, before giving him another peck on the lips.

"Come on, we have to pick out a name." I shrieked, and grabbed Shawn by the arm to lead him upstairs.

I heard a groan leave his lips. Ha.
