3 YEARS LATER...

It's been three years since I found out Shawn was having an affair with someone else, and I would be lying if I said I didn't miss him.

He has tried to call, saying that he wanted to meet our daughter, but I told he can't and he never will. He doesn't deserve to meet her after everything he has done. Amelia has grew up with just me as a parent, and every time she asked where her daddy was, it broke my heart to see her little face when ever I told her I wasn't sure.

"Mommy, I'm hungry." My 3 year old daughter Amelia pouted. I picked her up and placed her on a chair.

I crouched down smiling. "Well, I have some cookies in my secret stash, would you like some?"

Her little face lit up like a Christmas tree as she nodded her head vigorously. "YAY!! COOKIES!"

I giggled and patted her nose, before standing up and walking over to my 'secret stash' where I hid some cookies.

I grabbed the cookies and made my way over to her to see Amelia jumping in her seat with excitement. She is so cute. She looks just like me, but she has Shawn's beautiful brown eyes.

"Here you go sweetheart." I smiled handing her some cookies.

"Thank you mommy." She replied before shoving one in her mouth. I laughed, before the sound of the door bell interrupted.

"Stay here and eat your cookies, okay?" I asked and she just nodded, not really paying attention to me and only her half eaten cookie.

I wondered over to the door, just expecting it to be the postman, but I was shocked to see who it was. My eyes went wide at the sight of the man who let my world come crashing down standing in front of me.

"Kylie." Shawn breathed, studying my face. He still looked as beautiful as ever, ripped black jeans and a grey v-neck. I held my breath and prayed to myself that this was just a dream.

"S-Shawn? What are you doing here?" I stuttered. He just looked at my face a little longer, before speaking.

"I came to see how you were. God, you haven't changed a bit." He let out a small chuckle.

"Yeah, I'm great. You can leave now." I replied and began to close the door, only for him to stick out his foot to stop the door from closing. I sighed and opened the door back up.

"Kylie, please don't shut me out. I know what I did was fucked up, but I regret it. I still love you, a lot. I let the best thing I had in my life slip out my fingers, and I can't apologise enough."

I looked up to see his face, his eyes were watery like he was going to cry.

He began to speak again. "I understand that you have every reason to hate me and never want to see me again, but please. I'm begging you, please let me see our daughter."

His voice was filled with something, regret maybe? I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

"Shawn, it's took you three years to make an effort to come and see our daughter. What makes you think that I will let you see her now?" My voice cracked a little.
