The smell of freshly ground coffee consumed me as I entered the little café around the corner from my house.

This was the place I went to every morning, it was so quite and peaceful. Maggie, the lady who owned the café is a family friend, so she allowed me to get free coffee when ever I wanted.

"Hello deer, how is my favourite teenager," she said cheerfully.

"Hello Aunt Maggie, and I'm very well thank you, just in need for some coffee." I laughed lightly. I always called her my aunt because she always treated me like I was family.

She chuckled at my reply. "Coming right up. Take a seat, I will bring it over for you,"

"Thanks," I smiled. I plopped down into a seat, putting my bag on the seat next to me. I pulled out my book from my bag and began reading.

A few minutes after my coffee had arrived, a deep voice interrupted my reading. "Excuse me, is this seat taken?"

I looked up to see who the voice had belonged to, it was a tall boy, about my age, pointing to the seat next to me.

"No," I smiled, taking my bag off the seat so he could sit there. He replied with a quite thanks.

"Your not from around here, are you?" I wondered, looking at his unfamiliar face. He had shiny brown hair, and big brown eyes.

He's definitely cute.

"No, I just moved here this morning." He flashed a perfect smile. I nodded in response and looked away, not wanting him to see me staring at his sharp jawline that shone in the sunlight.

"So, what are you reading?" He asked looking at my book. "It's called the fault in our stars, it's a really good book," I replied.

"That's what my sister says. She's been bugging be trying to get me to read it," he chuckled, moving his hand up to his hair to swoop it back.

"Well, I have to agree with your sister," I giggled. "Im shawn," he smiled, sticking his hand out for my to shake. "(Y/n)," I returned the smile, shaking his hand.

"Well (y/n), how about you give my your number so I can text you when I've read it," he smirked.

"Mhm. Very smooth Shawn," I chuckled handing him my phone. He gave me his phone and we both traded numbers.

"Well I have to go now, but I'll see you around (y/n)," he winked standing up. "Bye Shawn," I waved, watching him walk out the coffee shop.

The second the door closed, maggie slid into the seat where Shawn was just sitting. "Who. Was. That?" She squealed excitedly.

Ugh, here we go.
