Two thoughts popped into my mind as I stood up to face Hunter.

The first one, my personal favorite, was to shove the egotistical jerk off the rocks and into the water below us. I knew though that if anything like that happened, I'd be done for.

The second one was to brush past and simply ignore him.

This is exactly what I did.

Our shoulders briefly bumped as I stepped around Hunter, and I heard him let out a small grunt before speaking.

"What? You're just going to leave?"

I bit my tongue and continued walking back to the shore. If I kept looking forward and didn't stop, then I wouldn't have to worry about possibly blowing up at him.

"Sheesh, if you're that in love with me you could have at least just said so instead of giving me the cold shoulder."

I froze.

That self obsessed idiot... Look what he's gone and done.

"In love with you," I hissed while spinning around to glare at him.

If looks could kill, I knew he'd be dead right now.

"What could have possibly given you that idea?"

Hunter smirked and shrugged, "Figured you were just playing hard to get, honey bun."

I groaned and found myself stomping back over to him.

"First off, never call me honey bun again. Or so help me God you will not be able to have kids. Or biologically be considered a male."

His eyes got wide as I kept going.

"Secondly, just because someone isn't showing interest in you doesn't mean they're playing hard to get, you sexist manwhore."

"How am I a manwhore? You don't even know me," he tried to defend.

"Please! You walk around like you own the damn place and you probably love all the attention you get! I bet you already have some date lined up for tonight, even."

"Not yet because I haven't gotten the chance to ask you."

I couldn't help it anymore.

I snapped.

"How about you just screw off and leave me the hell alone," I screamed while stepping forward.

I reached out and slammed my hand against his chest while continuing, "I didn't ask for you to come. I didn't even want you to be here! So why would I even consider going out with someone like you?"

"Well, because I'm Hunter Lane."

"And that's exactly how come I can't stand you! This isn't some stupid little made for TV movie where the girl just magically falls for the famous guy after just meeting. This is real life! So stop thinking everyone wants to date you!"

I then realized after all my shouting, what I had just done.

Hunter's face quickly vanished from in front of me as he fell right off the rocks. No doubt, due to my shoving.

The rocks were so far out that I knew the area below us wasn't shallow. It was at least a good ten feet. But still, I had just unintentionally shoved him into the Atlantic Ocean.

"Shit," I gasped while sprinting my way off the rocks and back to the sand.

By the time I had reached there, I already saw Hunter standing up and walking his way over.

"Hunter, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to push you off. It was an accident, I swear," I started to ramble.

I couldn't have him stop the shoot and leave. I couldn't let my stupidity ruin something huge for Tony.

Hunter stopped walking just as he got to the edge of the beach. His jaw was clenched and I could tell he was pissed off.

Though, even in a situation like this, I picked up on something completely different than how mad he was.

"Are you wearing makeup?"

"What?"

I couldn't help but start to laugh.

"Your face is running! And your eyes look like mine after I wash my face when I wear mascara!"

His hands flew up to rub at his eyes, but I only laughed harder as the makeup smeared more.

"Shut up. Micah is going to kill you once he finds out this happened."

"What? That your makeup has washed off? I thought you were naturally good looking? Not someone who depends on eyeliner and bronzer!"

Hunter stomped right up to me and glared down at me. "You just shoved me into the water and you're cracking jokes? What you should really be doing is begging me for forgiveness and hope that I don't stop this whole thing now."

I would be lying if I said he wasn't a bit intimidating right now. In fact, I would probably be shaking in my spot and doing what he says if it wasn't for the state of his face.

"Whatever you say, wicked witch of the west."

His scowl quickly dropped and I swear I saw him smile a tiny bit at my joke.

"Just... let's go back, Ava. I came over here to get you anyways."

He started to walk back over to the clinic and I slowly followed after him.

"Oh, and just to let you know..."

I stopped as Hunter glanced over his should to smirk at me.

"I'm going to get you back."
