Sunshine and Blanket Burritos (Solangelo High School AU)

(A/N) *GASP* There isn't a V or an I! What has the world come to?!

I lay down on the top bunk. My head hangs over the side so I can watch Nico sleep.

... It's not creepy.

"Are you just gonna watch me sleep all day, Solace?" Nico asked.

"Um... yes?" I said, blushing. He knows I was watching him. Oh no. What will he think of that?

"We do have class today... but all right," Nico said as he tucked his neck into his blanket burrito.

"Oh my sweet tarter sauce," I whispered, "so cute."

I watched Nico sleep for about ten more minutes. But we did have classes today. I hopped out of bed, landing gracefully on my feet.

"C'mon," I said, poking Nico's cheek. "Time for school."

"But it's my birthday!" Nico said, trying to get out of it.

"Yeah, right," I said. "You're birthday's in January." There was a short pause.

"How did you know that?" Nico asked.

"I... um... got bored last night," I said, trying to be smooth about it. Nico nodded his head, getting out of bed to get dressed.

Once we were both dressed, we walked halfway down the first hall in silence. Until Nico broke the silence.

"It's not that I'm not grateful," Nico said, "but why were you following me?"

"Oh... um... I- you- my-," I said, stuttering on every word. I couldn't make my mouth move. I resorted to pulling out my phone and showing Nico the Instagram messages I've sent Cakey since I've been here.

Including the ones of my confession.

"Ah," Nico said, "that's why." He just kept nodding his head slowly and walking to our first class as if it was nothing. I wanted to kiss that boy so badly right now. I mean, he knows I like him. It wouldn't hurt our friendship, right?

I decided not to.

We just kept walking to class. In complete silence.

"You're late," our instructor said as soon as we walked through the door. I checked my watch. Ten minutes late.

"Sorry," Nico said. "Will and I had a deep discussion about science and how ships sail this morning."

"At the same time?" Our instructor asked, surprised.

"Yeah," I said with a huge smirk on my face. Science and how ships sail.

That's what we're going to talk about tonight, also.

(A/N) I loved writing this chapter so freaking much for some reason! I just loved it! Anyhow, I basically got this whole story planned out now! It's gonna have about 35 chapters. Hopefully.
