As the Morning star reaches my eyes
In the moments before dawn
There is an awakening that’s calling
Reflecting the mirror of this life
How far that distance is matters not
for it is way beyond my reach
yet perhaps there is a prayer that’s sent
that can trigger my mind to some greater reality
and when you stop and realize
you are here until your gone
to then appear in another world
manifesting some other form when we move on
For we all are part of a greater whole
With atoms connecting us as one
all breathing with some awareness of being
all part of this energy that we are made from
and so when we look at each other
we may sometimes get a glimpse
some reflection of a person’s soul
and their reason for being here may show
or perhaps it’s all too much to grasp
And so we choose just not to know
The power of this gift of life
That is given to all living souls
and the wheel of life does turn
And the days will come and go
While we appear here and now
Until we appear elsewhere
with another place to know
Maybe on that distant star we may one day live
and look back upon this planet
and perhaps just get a glimpse
of what mirror of this life can really give
