So Long ago there was a star
That shone so brilliant and so bright
That it lit the sky over Bethlehem
And led the wise man to the light
It inspired the ones who saw it
To follow it’s path to find
The birth of the the son of God
A teacher of Peace for all mankind
And this is the time of the Holy Days
the darkest time of the year
so we still light our candles
and go inside and find our light that is there
It is a time we celebrate
And Give our loved ones the gifts we bear
To honor the time the wise men
Brought their offerings to Jesus
With tidings of gladness and good cheer.
And that star that lit the Sky
Carried a light so strong and clear
It was the reflection of Miracle
That would change life on earth
And lead us from darkness to light here.
And though that star shown so long ago
We still remember in these Holy days
The light of God’s great love that shines
That brings us hope for a better life
And still leads us on the path to find
How to live as we were taught
to live with love for all mankind
