There are these words you give to inspire
These messages that you whisper to my soul
In the quiet of the morn
In the space so intimate that we know
The soft fragrance of a distant memory
With a longing for the distance to be closed
Between where I am and where you speak to me
And where I live between both
For the connection to all things discovered
And the reminder that nothing is known for sure
Is closed in the realization of why I live and breathe
for the love you give and share.
Teacher and master,
You are the One who came and showed us the way
with the truth that will release us to the Light
and the love that is our saving grace.
and we find these blessings
as we travel on our way
and we are lifted up to heaven
and we are shown the eternal pathway
Yet still in this form we have so much to learn
in the time while we are here
And so we find a way to pray
For guidance and help everyday.
For what is given in spirit
Seems so very clear
But while we live in this body we have so many distractions
That we can forget why we came here.
So we grasp for the beauty
And we search for a crutch or staff of life
And we must sometimes be reminded
That we are not perfect but that is all right
And all this words that are written
Fail to capture what I wish to convey
So I get up every morning and with your help try to say.
