Trust
With each and every breath we take
We are given another chance at life and new choices to make
And on this long, long journey of the path we are on
There are so many lessons in life to learn from
And there are many times along the way
Where we’ve seen so much suffering and pain
That we have stopped and questioned why
What is the reason for the cruelty and we seek to find
The answers to why we are here
and what we can do to help others in fear
And then one day we find the crack of light
Through an opening in the sky
And a bigger part of the picture appears
And we believe there is a greater plan
Waiting for us to comprehend
when we can believe and Trust in God
for the greater good which we came for
and our love for people and hope is restored
And Trust that when there is a beggar at our door
With a bowl extended for us to give
We can be the one that helps others to live
As we have been helped so often in our lifetime here
And so we find there is a better way
And we grow with a little more everyday
to begin to believe again In God
to guide us everyday
And we show up not knowing quite why
And we just trust that we’ll be shown the light
From an opening from heaven to Earth
And that God will provide for us
And our hearts will find some strength
And so we get down on our knees and pray
For all those in need here in this human race
And we trust in God to feed
The hungry souls so they can believe
That there is enough good in the World
And so many people who wish to help save others
I they just knew what to do and say
And so we trust in God to lead us everyday
And somehow we will be renewed
And give to others as we have been given to.
