The Rubbing
All the wrongs that have been suffered
You had to overcome the bad things come our way
Is just part that is suffering we encounter
In life when we need to learn a better way.
And all those may things
that might have rubbed
you the wrong way everyday
Become the way we get polished
By this rubbing that will happen come what may.
And as life rubs you with these things
That sometimes bother you
You’ll find that with some compassion
You’ll shine much brighter and you’ll get through
you’ll learn to get past the ego
And the ways we use to separate and judge
And find that it can work so much better
When we learn to ask for help
And if we wish to help others
We must also learn to help ourselves
And be open to receive
The good inside that we can be
So choose to find the blessings
That are waiting for you in life
Choose to see the miracles
And choose to do what makes things right
And all those wrongs that have been suffered
You can just let them all go
And forgive those hard, hard lessons
And see the good they brought for you to grow
And see how God’s at work in life
For No matter what you do
There is some blessing waiting
Right there in the God in you.
