With me and John back together we started thinking about baby names even though i was barely one month in.
We both wanted a girl so we tried coming up with more girl names.
“Ok. So what are some girl names you like?” John asked.
“I don’t know.”
“You’re no help.” He said, smiling at me.
I was glad to see him happy again and not in so much pain.
“I’m sorry.. What about Ashley or Brooke, or Hailey?”
“Why such common names? I think we should do something unique.”
“Like what?”
“Like, Aida, Hazel, or Allyse.”
“Are you serious?” I asked.
“Yeah, what’s wrong with those names?”
“They’re weird.” I was trying not to hurt his feelings.
“Maybe we should think of a boy name. What’s one you like?”
“Uhm, what about Bryce?” I asked.
“Yeah. I like that name.”
“Ok. So, if we have a boy, the name will be Bryce. Now back to a girl name.”
“Maybe we should get the name book out.” He said.
“Yeah.” I started looking through it and found one I really liked.
“What about this one? I think it’s unique.” I asked.
“What is it?” He said while scooting closer to me so he could see the book.
“Amberley.”
“That’s kind of interesting. I like it.”
“So do I!” I said.
So, we had the names. If it was a girl, Amberley. If it was a boy, Bryce.
