Yea...no

So things didn't work out, so guess who was walking beside the couple holding their pants so they wouldn't fall down?

Alex...just kidding I am. And it wasn't fun in this blistering heat either. I wasn't a fan of shorts but damn it I would wear them right now. I should have smuggled a pair underneath.

"You look like you're having fun,"

I looked at greyguard and glared at him. He actually said nothing, the jerk. First of all if someone was attacking us I would be too pre-occupied with holding my pants and wouldn't be able to get my gun, where is my gun?

Secondly I was trying not to trip over in the overhanging hem, can you call it a hem of the pants.

Thirdly, there was no thirdly it just seemed smart to say it.

Oh yes I found a thirdly, I couldn't keep up with them. They seemed to be walking thirty globes per second and I was known to be the one with a fast pace. Damn Alex.

Man I should buy a belt.

The first stop came where we were in the town's heart, the centre. There was a fountain, duh, and they royal couple were perched beside it sighing autographs and taking photos and trying to hold a conversation.

The prince seemed to be doing fine, however Catherina's face, I felt like pushing her into the water, could she not wear a smile when she was signing the book of some little kids?

I felt something hard against my back knee and I turned around, no one, I looked down and sure enough some girl had run straight into me. How did she miss the eight inches of extra clothing I had hanging off me?

Bending down I picked up the photo she dropped and handed it to her.

"Than-thank you," she said her red piggy tails bouncing as her green eyes stared at mine. I shrugged smiling and then saw the photo.

Me?

Well my bum but still, it was a cut out from a newspaper article.

I tilted my head looking around and saw the red tint that tainted her small cheeks.

"Can I get your autog-auto- can you sign it?" she asked giving up on the big words. I wouldn't blame her, I didn't like big words either.

"You want me to sign this?" I asked half shocked. She nodded and showed me a full smile where her bottom teeth were missing. Man if only I could still get money of Alex about the tooth-fairy.

"I want to be like you when I grow up," she said. I smiled in awe.

"You don't trust me,"

I looked up and glared at Alex as I took the photo and signed it.

"And why not, I am amazing thank you," I muttered. Alex scoffed rolling his eyes. The girl smiled and I ruffled her hair as she ran off and stood up.

"I need a belt, go buy me a belt," I muttered. Alex raised an eyebrow pointing to himself, "Me?"

"Yes you, you made me wear this!"

"Well this way you have no arse to show off," he said shrugging. I glared at him narrowing my eyes.

"Well....if you don't get me a belt then I could accidentally drop my pants you know," I said pretending to inspect my chipped nails, man I should file or whatever my nails. My index finger had half its nail missing.

"Fine, don't do that," with that he walked off and I smiled in victory and walked off, or wobbled towards the couple. Might as well rest my arse on the edge of the fountain till he came back. Wasn't useful for anything else at the moment.

I watched the couple interact with a few more people before I got bored and looked around the market. Man can I just walk around ducking into the stores, there were tiny stalls here and there and all I wanted to do was buy some cheap bracelet to wear.

"Here,"

About time. I stood up with one hand holding the pants and then raised an eyebrow.

"I just took it of some guy so you better put it on before he realises," muttered Alex. I patted his head, boy he is learning well before grabbing it. I didn't need to be asked twice before I slipped them on. They held the pants perfectly.

"Now to business!" I muttered fist pumping. I reached behind grabbed Alex wallet and walked towards the stalls. They wouldn't miss me for too long.

Ah there was my gun, I could actually feel it strapped to my shin. The things you notice when you weren't too busy trying to keep your pants from falling. I walked over to the first stall, it was the closest to the couple in case they needed something.

The guy at the stall looked up and smiled showing his brown and crooked teeth as I was flicking through the pile of bracelets he had. There wasn't much of a collection but I couldn't go too far away from the royal couple.

"How much is this?" I asked looking up and saw him have a steady gaze on the royal couple. I turned around over my shoulder and then back at the guy. There was something off about him and his goatee. Was it a stick on?

Going with my urge I leaned over and pulled it. He screamed grabbing his goatee and I winced pulling my hand back.

"Sorry," not really, he was asking for it with his nicely plated goatee.

I handed him a handful of money and grabbed the bracelet and ran turning around bumping into a uniform.

"Watch it," I muttered at greyguard as I started walking back. The bracelet was like crystal stones, eight colours and in each colour there were a handful on crystals. It was simple and pretty as I slipped it on, a perfect fit.

I looked at the long line for the photos and autograph and scoffed, as if. I get that they were royalty and everything but why would you line up for them? Like they were also people. It was all this fame that got to people's heads like Catherina's.

They weren't even engaged and she was already feeling like she was the queen.

 "Isandra,"

I turned around and saw Alex waving me over.

"Yea?"

Alex pulled me over to the video they were watching of a blue van following the movements of our team all day and it was parked in a street three blocks across.

"Go check it out, Carter will go with you,"

"Carter?"

Greyguard walked up, that was his name? I preferred my name better, greyguard, totally suited him, even if the uniform wasn't grey.

"Let's go," he said and I shrugged walking after him. Finally some action.

Soon enough just like Alex said the van was parked on the side of the road half hidden behind the dumpster.

Greyguard pulled out his gun keeping it to his side, should I get mine, nah I don't want to bend, this was probably a false alarm anyways. We stood right outside the backdoor and exchanged a look. Greyguard raised his hand to knock, three quick knocks.

Nothing

"Probably some bored paparazzi- or not because the next thing we knew was a gunshot being fired.
