Chapter 3

*Riley*

Farkle woke up and kissed my cheek. He sits besides me, examining my look.

I was very deep in thought.

"So, whats up? Anything I should know?" he asked.

"Well, we got a new neighbor and his name is Lucas and I told Maya to go meet him" I said, with the biggest smile ever.

"So...."

"So....I overheard there conversation and there absolutely adorable. There conversation was just..oh my gossh"

Farkle got up. "Riley, are you suggesting that Maya and Lucas date?"

"Yes. Yes. Yes. And yes. I think there adorable"

Farkle looked at me, worried.

"I know you have a tendency of wanting everyone's lives to be perfect but.."

"But what?"

Farkle put toast into the toaster. He looked very worried.

"But, lets just face it. I love Maya and all but her love life cannot be perfect"

"Thats why Lucas is perfect for her. Farkle, don't you see it?"

"I'll believe it when I see it. But don't go messing around with her love life or else your friendship is guaranteed unfixable"

Then, Farkle kissed me and ate his toast.

I'll fix her love life, I thought. Maya deserves to be happy, especially after all this misfortune in her life.

I got up and walked out the door. I went to 6D. Lucas's house.

Knock. Knock.

Lucas opened the door.

"Hey...Riley? What do you need?"

"I dont need anything. Just here to talk"

"About?"

"About your conversation with Maya"

"Yeah shes something"

"Well, you guys should be friends"

"Why?"

"Because I dont hang out with Maya as much as I used to and should because I have a boyfriend. And Maya pretty much alone alot of the times, singing sad songs"

"Okay, so?"

"So..are you going to be friends or not?"

"No. I barely know her"

"So get to know her"

"But--"

" 'But' nothing, Lucas. Gotta run"

I ran back to my apartment. Hes so going to be friends with Maya
